Matt James, a popular figure within the Bachelor franchise, has confirmed his breakup with girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell, who he’s been on-again, off-again with since 2020.
33-year-old reality television personality announced their news on his Instagram yesterday, accompanied by a photo capturing their initial encounter on ‘The Bachelor’.
As a lifestyle guide, I’d express it like this: “Recently, I shared a heartfelt prayer with my followers, as it also marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life. ‘Dear Heavenly Father, bestow upon Rachel and me the strength to heal our broken hearts. Expressing: ‘Let’s surround our loved ones with affection and compassion as a source of solace. And may they serve as a reminder that our happiness originates from you, Dear Lord,’ accompanied by a broken heart symbol.
Matt and Rachael crossed paths during the 2020 season of The Bachelor. Instead of popping the question, Matt decided to wrap up the series by being in a romantic relationship with Rachael instead.
In 2021, the groundbreaking Black lead of the reality show, who had been its first in 19 years, parted ways with Rachael following the resurfacing of photos showing her at a plantation-themed gathering in 2018. However, they managed to reconcile not long after that incident.
