Matt Baker’s “wonderful” show shelved as fans say they’ll “really miss” it

Matt Baker’s heartwarming travel series, titled “Travels with Mom and Dad“, will not be coming back to Channel 4 this season, as it appears that Baker has decided to take some time off from hosting the show.

2022 marked the debut of the series, during which the celebrated “Strictly Come Dancing” performer embarked on unforgettable and accessible journeys with his parents, Janice and Mike, exploring various attractions in the North East region of England.

Now, it appears the show has been shelved as Baker has a new show in the works.

A representative from Channel 4 said to Metro that Matt is quite occupied at the moment with an upcoming series. For now, his family has parked the caravan, but we’ll see what may transpire in the future.

Fans of the delightful show, Travels with Mum and Dad, may find this disappointing to hear: it’s unfortunate news for them.

Last year, the presenter addressed the possibility of returning to the show.

After Jermaine Jenas departed from The One Show, he expressed that if there was anything they required from him, he would gladly engage in conversation with them to explore ways he could assist.

That series holds a special place in my heart because I invested nearly a decade of my life into it. No matter what, it will forever remain dear to me.
