MasterChef’s Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary reveal marriage plans after moving in together – as her new younger beau addresses criticism that he is ‘punching above his weight’

Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary, a pair from MasterChef, have clarified speculations about them deepening their relationship following their decision to share a home, due to their age difference in their romantic bond.

The affectionate couple, whose relationship keeps growing more deeply, shared with Daily Mail Australia that although they don’t foresee getting married just yet, they now function as a family unit. In this arrangement, Declan assumes the role of stepfather to Sarah’s 14-year-old son, Phoenix.

‘It’s all relatively new but it’s working great,’ they said, adding: ‘When it’s right, it’s right.’

It came as a shock to many that reality TV personalities Sarah (aged 38) and Declan (aged 27) are in a relationship, but according to them, they felt a strong bond right away during their time working together on the Channel 10 cooking program.

In certain instances, things seemingly materialize without warning, yet everything aligns perfectly. It was as if our paths intertwined effortlessly from the start.

Declan also responded to criticism he is ‘punching above his weight’ with former model Sarah.

He expressed his satisfaction with that comment, adding, “She is stunningly attractive, both inside and out, and her culinary skills are unrivaled; this is something everyone acknowledges.

Regarding the speculation that their latest stunning photo shoot for an Australian magazine was artificially generated, Declan attributes it to Sarah’s fortunate genetic traits instead.

‘Sarah’s just naturally beautiful. I’m happy with any help. Hair, makeup, AI!’ he joked.

With them both employed and residing together, do they have concerns that their relationship’s spark might fade prematurely?

Declan remarked, “Our adventure has only just begun. If compatibility issues crop up right away, there doesn’t seem to be much of a long-term prospect.

‘My future looks tremendous.’

Ever since Sarah and Declan announced their relationship earlier this month, I can’t help but feel like I’m part of their journey. It turns out, the rumors were true – they’ve been living together all along, navigating the high-stakes world of their popular show together. Talk about a power couple!

They came clean about their secret romance in an interview with Stellar magazine.

Declan disclosed that the duo quickly bonded, leading them to spend a significant amount of time together backstage during the filming of MasterChef.

But only when Sarah was up for elimination did Declan’s feelings surface, making him realize it was time to express them to her.

 They also posed for the magazine, with Sarah looking stylish in denim as she embraced her beau.

On their initial outing together, they chose to spend a romantic getaway in the Grampians National Park over the weekend. They browsed local markets, dined at scenic eateries, and took leisurely strolls through the Central Victorian Highlands.

Following the completion of the show, Declan decided to relocate from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Melbourne, taking his dog Sol along. This move was to join Sarah and Phoenix, who are based there.

On Tuesday, Sarah’s ex-fiancé Devinder Garcha broke his silence on her romance with Declan.

The project manager expressed his happiness towards them, mentioning that he recently met Declan for the first time and found him to be a pleasant individual.

‘I wouldn’t say we’re friends or not friends. We’re pleasant, and good luck to her,’ he added.

Devinder explained he’d spoken to Declan while Sarah was dropping off their son.

‘Maintaining a friendly atmosphere is important. It’s beneficial for the child. Declan appears to be a kind individual, and Phoenix seems to get along with him. He comes across as agreeable. I hope they all have good fortune,’ he expressed.

‘We both focus a lot on Phoenix. As long as he’s happy, I’m happy.’

The individual with one child mentioned that they had been with Sarah for approximately five years in total, and were engaged for two years prior to their separation.

Devinder stopped appearing on Sarah’s Instagram account around December 2014.
