MasterChef’s Andy Allen Breaks Silence on Spicy Food Tears Rumor Fans Can’t Believe

Chef Andy Allen has, at last, spoken out about an unusual gossip that has followed him during his tenure on MasterChef Australia.

Since 2020, the 36-year-old judge on the cooking competition is often seen making a displeased expression when tasting a spicy dish.

And fans have drawn the conclusion that the former contestant is not a ‘friend’ of chilli. 

Andy made it clear to Pedestrian TV that he was ending the discussion about the ‘spice’ rumor for good,” or simply, “Andy definitively closed the ‘spice’ rumor conversation with Pedestrian TV.

He explained, ‘I love spice, but I show my emotions.

‘If I eat something spicy, like chillies, I tend to tear up and sometimes even sweat a bit. But I genuinely love the heat and flavor of spicy food, it’s just quite intense on my taste buds!’

He says, “People often comment that I can’t manage spicy food, but I can indeed handle it; I simply choose not to let it show.

Instead of portraying myself as a rough, unyielding man standing still with visible perspiration, I make it clear to all around me that the temperature is high.

On Monday, Andy will join Sofia Levin, Poh Ling Yeow, and Jean-Christophe Novelli back in the MasterChef kitchen.

In this season, we have a total of 24 former contestants returning to compete for the coveted MasterChef trophy and the grand prize of $250,000.

The lineup features popular figures from MasterChef, such as Andre Ursini (season one), Sarah Todd (fourteenth season), and Tim Bone (eleventh season).

Now, enthusiasts of the culinary contest have developed an idea about who might ultimately claim the title of champion.

Spectators are discussing online, suggesting that the creators may have given away too much information by revealing only six out of the 24 competitors set to compete in the culinary competition through a promotional poster.

In the showcased scene, I find myself standing alongside an array of remarkable individuals, each distinct in size. Among them is none other than the talented Laura Sharrad, a familiar face from seasons 6 and 12.

Additionally, Savindri Perera and Darrsh Clarke from Season 16, along with Tim Bone from Season 11, will also be featured in the promo.

Additionally, there’s Declan Cleary from Season 15, but it’s the image of beloved Steph De Sousa from Season 11 that stands out most prominently on the poster.

Both versions convey the same meaning, but the second one has a slightly more concise and straightforward structure.

Many fans felt Laura Sharrad was a shoe-in based on her appearance on the poster.

A fan Reddit started the discussion by asking, ‘Do you think the winner is pictured?’

Given that Laura is the sole contestant shown who was active prior to season 11, would you guess she emerges victorious in this season, or could it be possible that the winner isn’t depicted?

As a die-hard fan, I’m confident that most of them have made it deep into the competition, or at least performed admirably. However, there might be one who gets eliminated prematurely.

It’s intriguing that they selected those particular characters for it. Given the trailers, it appears as though Laura and Darsh might be the primary characters at this point.

‘The only one out of these that could realistically win is Laura, I think.’
