It appears that romance has blossomed within the MasterChef Australia kitchen, as two returning competitors from the Back To Win series have found themselves smitten with each other.
Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary, who engaged in a romantic rivalry on the screen, have admitted to their hidden relationship and shared that they’ve been living together since the demanding series wrapped up.
In a chat with this week’s Stellar Magazine, Declan shared an immediate connection between them, leading to numerous hours spent together off-camera.
Yet, it wasn’t until the elimination challenge when Sarah was 38 years old that Declan’s emotions emerged clearly, prompting him to express his feelings towards her.
While entering the contest, I asked Sarah, “May I inquire about something? Fancy going out with me on a date?” To which she responded, “You’re utterly foolish,” he recalled.

Although Sarah initially found his timing for the invitation less than ideal, she eventually warmed up to the idea of being with him.

On Reddit, a devoted fan of the popular cooking show expressed concern on Tuesday about a promotional image on the streaming platform 10Play. The image seemed to predominantly feature contestants who had been eliminated, which led them to speculate if this hinted at the identity of the winner.
The Reddit user titled a screenshot with, “Did you notice how many Masterchef competitors from the 10Play app have already been disqualified?
‘Darsh, Steph, Sav and Tim all eliminated… could this be a sign?’ they asked.
The fan then went on to predict who may be facing the chopping block next based on the poster.
‘Maybe Laura and Declan will be out the door soon too??’
Other MasterChef devotees flooded the comments of the Reddit post with their takes on the theory.
One observer pointed out that the advertisements might have been created prior to the shooting, which is why they appeared to be unrelated to the actual scenes.
It was pointed out earlier, but when they produced this advertisement, they hadn’t completed filming yet. Consequently, they inserted random individuals in the picture instead.
Another person theorised that they used the most popular faces of the show for the poster.
It seems they prioritize individuals with larger followings or those who can draw more viewers, over those who have proven themselves in competition. Given Steph’s significant Instagram following, it’s not surprising to see her as the main focus.
‘Laura definitely won’t go before top 10,’ another person confidently predicted.
