As a lifestyle expert with over three decades of experience in the culinary world and a deep appreciation for cleanliness and respect for nature, I wholeheartedly support Shannon Bennett’s stance against irresponsible pet owners who neglect to pick up after their dogs.

Shannon Bennett, a renowned chef on MasterChef Australia, has responded critically to irresponsible pet owners who have discarded their dogs’ waste near his lavish mansion in Byron Bay.

Shannon resides in a luxurious, six-bedroom house worth $2 million that boasts immediate proximity to the beautiful Belongil Beach. However, this property has fallen victim to an appalling incident.

On a Thursday post on Instagram, the renowned chef expressed his criticism towards irresponsible pet owners, particularly those who take their dogs to the beach for yoga sessions.

He asserted that individuals are not properly disposing of their pet’s waste, instead, they’ve been carelessly dumping bags full of dog feces on the sidewalk near his residence.

Shannon posted a variety of photos showing bags full of dog waste that appeared to be carelessly discarded around his neighborhood and at the beach.

‘New to town? Beginner at Yoga?,’ he raged in one post.

‘Start by bending over and picking up your dog s**t aka the downward dog position.’

Instead, he advised pet owners to utilize the disposal areas available, as opposed to discarding unwanted items outside his premises.

‘And then put it in any of the 10 bins provided and not on my steps,’ the post continued.

Apart from his fiery social media post, he also uploaded a picture displaying three dogs strolling on the beach at sunset, off their leashes.

Shannon, dating Erica Packer, didn’t mince words when he titled his fiery post, explicitly instructing those at fault to take the appropriate action.

Stop being w****rs and pick up the dog bags,’ he wrote.

Placing a bag either on the sand or the rocks and using your foot to draw a circle around it seems quite unusual.

Shannon’s post seemed to resonate strongly with his audience, as numerous people expressed immediate agreement with him on the matter.

One individual responded, “You’re absolutely right.” It’s truly disheartening to observe that so many individuals neglect to pick up and properly dispose of their dog’s waste on beaches. Particularly when the tide is approaching, as it can lead to pollution and unsanitary conditions.

Instead of their original statement, they proposed a more straightforward approach by suggesting: ‘Should you witness someone dropping a waste bag, you might have valid reasons to grab it and attempt to throw it, hoping it bursts upon hitting them.’

One dog owner also was quick to back Shannon’s stance.

They expressed their agreement: “I completely concur with your sentiment. The sight of so many discarded dog waste bags on the beach was shocking, and yes, I do own a dog and take responsibility for cleaning up after her.

At Belongil Beach, there are areas where dogs are allowed, but it’s uncertain whether these are the stretches that extend beyond Shannon’s property.

Shannon’s house is a contemporary, architect-designed beachfront property with immediate access to the charming Belongil Beach.

In the year 2020, John Cornell, an entrepreneur in the entertainment business, sold a large parcel of land measuring approximately 4,588 square meters and divided into five lots to Shannon, as stated by Urban, for a price of $2 million.

The neighbouring property is currently on the market for a reported $40million.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Shannon Bennett for comment.

Over the Christmas season, Shannon made his new romance with Erica public, a woman he has children (Phoenix, Hendrix, Xascha, Xanthe, Xahlia and Margaux) with his former partner Madeleine West.

In March, Shannon publicly discussed his budding relationship with Erica, who was previously married to business magnate James Packer, as reported by The Herald Sun.

‘Erica is great,’ Shannon told the publication.

‘She’s exceptionally skilled, constantly moving back and forth. Exploring together is an enjoyable and astounding experience, it’s surprising we didn’t cross paths sooner.’

‘We’re loving life. I’m a very lucky man,’ he added.
