Poh Ling Yeow reveals a peek into the less-glamorous aspects of her life as a television personality, shared via social media, which has left her followers remarkably empathetic.
The 51-year-old MasterChef Australia judge and artist posted a photo of her very messy bedroom.
Greetings, cosmos! In all honesty, I’m giving it my best,” she wrote alongside a photo showing a washing machine brimming with laundry and garments scattered across her bed.
Her supporters swiftly empathized with the very relatable image that Poh posted on her Instagram on Monday.
Wow, I totally get what you’re saying there! If only ‘abracadabra’ had magic in it for my space too, yours just looks amazingly tidy!
‘Same girl, same,’ added another, while a third said simply, ‘Thank you, Poh, we are all trying.’

In the photo, you can spot Tim, Poh’s fluffy pet dog, seemingly captivated by his owner’s tidying efforts.
‘Tim is doing a great job overseeing all the activity,’ one fan joked.
Added another: ‘Tim found just the one bit of clear-ish space he could squeeze himself in!’
One person commented, “It’s amazing how you manage to accomplish so many tasks, even everyday chores seem challenging for you!
More recently, Poh has shared insights into the less-publicized difficulties of fame, disclosing that she declines financially rewarding opportunities when they conflict with her personal principles.
During a recent episode of the Mental As Anyone podcast, she shared her struggles with living under the spotlight, stating that it can be challenging.
She mentioned that the road ahead can be tricky, implying that it’s crucial to exercise caution when making commitments.
Your choices, or what you choose not to do, significantly shape who you are. Consequently, chances will present themselves, although many may not be appealing and might carry some negative consequences.

I’ve experienced situations where I agreed to certain things, only to later realize that they weren’t the best fit for me. There were times when I had an uneasy feeling about something, and in hindsight, it seems like a mistake. These weren’t major errors, but perhaps not as consistent with my personal or professional image as I would have liked.
Poh openly admits that she carefully chooses her brand collaborations, aiming to maintain the genuine character of her platform.
‘It is mainly commercial opportunities that are about money and using my platform,’ she explained.
I carefully choose the endeavors I associate with, such as endorsements, and ensure they resonate deeply with me. It’s a delicate balance, but I am quite selective about these commitments.
Last month, Poh was among the seven contenders up for the Gold Logie award, along with Julia Morris, Ally Langdon, Sonia Kruger, Lisa Millar, Hamish Blake, and eventually, Lynne McGranger who won it.
In 2022, the chef was added to the judging team, replacing Jock Zonfrillo who had unexpectedly passed away, as well as Melissa Leong and Andy Allen who left previously.
