Marvin Humes shared the sweet reaction of his kids when they found out he was the singer behind the Can Of Worms costume on The Masked Singer, following his reveal on Saturday.
The 40-year-old celebrity shared a heartwarming video of his two youngest kids, eight-year-old Valentina and four-year-old Blake, finding out he was participating in the show.
The sweet video showed Marvin, his wife Rochelle, and their kids all gathered together to watch the newest episode.
Initially, Valentina guessed the masked singer ‘Can of Worms’ was JB Gill from JLS. However, Blake unexpectedly revealed it was his dad, who pretended to be surprised.
The whole family excitedly shouted the show’s famous ‘Take It Off!’ chant when Blake and Valentina realized their dad was the one hidden inside the Can Of Worms costume, jumping up and down with joy.
Marvin shared a video on Instagram with the caption: ‘It’s open! Surprise! The worm is finally out of the can! What a performance! It was all worth it just for the kids’ reactions!’
Lots of Joel Dommett’s celebrity friends responded to the sweet video, with the host of The Masked Singer writing, ‘This is amazing! You were fantastic.’
Sam Thompson called them the ‘best family in the world,’ and Sian Welby admitted she’d already watched the video twice and wanted to see it again.
Former The Masked Singer judge Rita Ora added: ‘This is soooo cute.’
After his identity was revealed, Marvin explained he only told his oldest daughter, Alaia, who is 12, that he was on the show. He also chose songs that he and his kids all love.
That pretty much covered everything. When I agreed to do the show, I wanted to showcase a wide range of music. I started with “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast – it’s a really challenging song, honestly.
Oh my gosh, it was Ghostbusters first, and then Temperature! But then… Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! And ‘Pure Imagination’? Seriously, that song is EVERYTHING. It’s honestly one of my absolute favorites, I could listen to it on repeat forever!
My kids get so annoyed when I sing that song at home while we’re watching the movie! And then tonight, we did the Cha Cha Slide – it’s a classic, everyone loves it!
Elsewhere in the episode, viewers also finally learned the identity behind the character Sloth.
As he lifted his head off, it was revealed Ben Fogle was the star behind the mask.
The crowd and judges were shocked and excited to discover the presenter of Animal Park had been the singer all along.
Ben, age 52, didn’t quite make it to the grand finale, which will be shown next Saturday night.
The competition moved forward, and Joel announced the finalists who would be competing in the grand finale next week.
The Masked Singer finale airs Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
