Marvel’s Vision show brings back Ultron star

As a seasoned Marvel gamer with over two decades of comic book-inspired adventures under my belt, I must say that I am beyond thrilled to witness the return of Ultron in the upcoming Vision series! James Spader’s chilling performance as the rogue AI was nothing short of mesmerizing in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The thought of him stirring up trouble once again fills me with a strange mix of anticipation and dread – much like when I’m about to face a formidable boss in my favorite RPG!

Marvel’s new Vision series will see the return of James Spader as Ultron.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is set to return to his character in an upcoming spin-off series, tentatively named “Vision Quest.”

For the first time, Spader lent his voice to the robotic antagonist in the 2015 film “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. This character aimed to annihilate mankind with the intention of preserving our planet from further harm.

Following the introduction of Vision (portrayed by Paul Bettany), it was ultimately the Avengers who managed to vanquish Ultron. However, specifics about when or if Vision will reappear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been tightly guarded.

As I continued my gaming journey, Vision transformed into a pivotal character within the franchise. Developing feelings for Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), I stood by her side, playing a significant role in defeating Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War.

In the show “WandaVision,” it was revealed that when Vision perished at the hands of Thanos, Wanda’s profound sorrow led her to construct an alternate world. Within this reality, we found Wanda and Vision living as a content family with their children. Meanwhile, agents from S.W.O.R.D were attempting to disrupt the magical barrier that enclosed this new existence.

In the future installments of the Vision series, we find our android protagonist seeking a fresh meaning in existence, post-the occurrences depicted in WandaVison.

Towards the conclusion of the series, S.W.O.R.D reconstructed White Vision using the remains of the deceased Vision. They deployed him with the mission to halt Wanda, yet once his recollections were reinstated, he ascended into the heavens.

2022 marked the initial announcement for an upcoming Disney+ series, slated for release in 2026. This production is the third installment of a trilogy initiated by WandaVision, which premiered in 2021.

In the second installment of this trilogy, titled “Agatha All Along,” actress Kathryn Hahn takes center stage as Agatha Harkness. Set to premiere next month, this spin-off series follows Agatha’s journey when she finds herself bereft of power and in search of new companions.

Agatha All Along premieres on Disney+ on September 18.
