Marvel’s Spider-Man/Venom/Carnage Crossover Begins (Exclusive Preview)

It’s been months since Peter Parker disappeared into space after a fight with a new enemy called Hellgate. While Peter was gone, Norman Osborn watched as Ben Reilly stepped into Peter’s everyday life, seemingly resentful of the opportunity.

Peter is back on Earth, and he’s brought some new alien companions with him – one of whom, Raelith, might be more than just a friend (and happens to be from the same planet as Hellgate). Because their bodies aren’t used to Earth’s germs, the aliens are staying with the Fantastic Four while Peter gets updated on everything he missed. The biggest surprise? His ex-girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson, is now the host for Venom.

FIRST YOUR FRIENDS. THEN YOUR FAMILY. THEN YOU.

• The next epic SPIDER-MAN and VENOM crossover starts here and continues through April!

A dangerously powerful new serial killer is targeting Spider-Man, Venom, and all those connected to them.

• But what terrible secret has CARNAGE learned, and what does it have to do with Spider-Man?!

32 PGS./ONE-SHOT/Rated T …$5.99

The preview shows an elderly man in Florida being murdered while mowing his lawn. The way he’s killed – with a spiral pattern cut into the grass – hints at a new, mysterious killer who seems to have a spiral theme (which makes sense, given the comic is called ‘Death Spiral’).

Peter checks in on his alien friends, who are recovering from their illness at the Baxter Building and should be able to leave soon. He’s also dealing with a flood of messages from Aunt May that he missed while he was gone – messages that Ben had been deliberately ignoring.

Peter Parker decides to swing around the city, catching up on his voicemails as he goes. One message is from Eddie Brock, who is currently bonded with the Carnage symbiote. Peter dismisses the message, but it’s likely Eddie was calling about the mysterious Spiral killer. Eddie and Carnage have been working together to hunt down criminals, with Eddie hoping to steer Carnage toward killing only those who deserve it.

To find out how everything unfolds – including the surprising connection with Venom, which Peter is unaware of involving Mary Jane – be sure to get a copy of Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral #1 when it’s released next week!
