The animated series *Marvel Zombies*, now streaming on Disney+, suggests Spider-Man might have died in the fourth episode. This R-rated show tells a story set in a comic book universe overrun by zombies, and several major Avengers have already met tragic ends. The fate of the young hero Spider-Man, however, remained uncertain.
Does Spider-Man Die In Marvel Zombies?
The series finale features Spider-Man battling a massive army of the undead with help from his superhero friends. Meanwhile, Kamala Khan faces off against the villainous Wanda Maximoff, who controls the undead. The fight gets intense, and several Avengers are defeated. The episode ends with Spider-Man being pulled into the mouth of a zombified Wasp.

Just when it looks like Spider-Man might be defeated, the scene ends, leaving viewers to question his fate. However, some subtle clues in the final moments of the show might hint at whether he survives or not.
Because we didn’t actually see Spider-Man die in the show, it’s possible he’s still alive. The series didn’t hold back with its violent deaths of well-known Marvel heroes, so if Zombie Wasp had killed Spider-Man, it probably would have been shown on screen.

Like Spider-Man, Riri Williams briefly seemed overwhelmed by the zombies during the big fight. However, she reappeared later as part of Kamala Khan’s vision, which ended the episode.
Since Riri is still alive, it suggests Spider-Man also survived the battle, despite how dangerous things seemed when Kamala defeated the Scarlet Witch.

If Spider-Man had died in the show, it would have been a more dramatic and visually explicit moment. In the final fight of Episode 4, whenever another hero was killed – like Shang-Chi – the show clearly showed their death and transformation into a zombie. But Spider-Man’s fate wasn’t shown in the same way, suggesting he might still be alive.
The new animated series, *Marvel Zombies*, is now available on Disney+. It’s set in a world where a zombie virus has infected some superheroes, and follows characters like Kamala Khan, Shang-Chi, and Peter Parker as they try to find a way to stop the zombie outbreak.
Will Spider-Man Return For More Marvel Zombies?
Considering how the *Marvel Zombies* series concluded, it’s likely we might see it return in the future, perhaps in another season or related project.
Kamala Khan believed she’d defeated the frightening Queen of the Undead, but she wakes up to a surprisingly ideal world. Her friends are nearby, the weather is beautiful, and she suddenly has a strong desire for shawarma.
This peaceful scene is soon disrupted by quick glimpses of the frightening zombie world that dominates the rest of the show.
Okay, so it turns out Kamala’s big win maybe wasn’t as complete as we thought. The very last shot of the episode? Just a terrifying look at the Scarlet Witch, still very much *not* happy, screaming at the screen. It definitely left me with a bad feeling!
It appears a second season of *Marvel Zombies* is possible, but depends on whether Marvel Studios decides to move forward with it. Brad Winderbaum of Marvel Television has said that a Season 2 will only be made if enough people tune in to watch the current show.
If the show gets a second season, we’ll almost certainly find out what happened to Spider-Man. He was one of the characters whose fate was left uncertain at the end of the first season, so fans are really hoping for answers about whether he survived.
