Marvel Zombies Future Plans Explain Why Season 2 Needs To Happen

Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, has shared that the creators of the upcoming animated series, Marvel Zombies, have already planned out ideas for a possible second season. In a recent interview, Winderbaum, a long-time executive at Marvel Studios, said he hopes to introduce new characters in the series if it’s renewed for another season.

Brad Winderbaum says they already have ‘a ton of material’ for Marvel Zombies Season 2

Brad Winderbaum hinted to Nerdist that if Marvel Zombies gets a second season, fans can expect to see several new characters introduced.

The executive producer mentioned they’re eager to develop certain characters, and see a lot of potential in revisiting the ‘Marvel Zombies’ concept, as there are still many characters they haven’t used yet.

I was really fascinated to hear that the creators of Marvel Zombies actually had much bigger plans for the first season! Apparently, they originally envisioned a far larger group of characters, but realized they couldn’t do everyone justice. They knew some characters were doing important things elsewhere in the universe, and they didn’t want to just *mention* them briefly and then have them suddenly appear without a proper storyline. So, they made the tough decision to streamline the cast and focus on the characters they could really develop. It’s cool to know there’s more to the world than what we see on screen, and they’re thinking about how everything connects!

According to producer Zeb Wells, there’s still a chance for characters who didn’t appear in the first season of *Marvel Zombies* to be featured if the show gets renewed for a second season. He mentioned they have plenty of ideas and characters they’d love to include, and are hoping for the opportunity to do so if the show continues.

If a second season of Marvel Zombies is made, viewers can expect to see more of the interesting characters introduced in the first, including Blade-Moon Knight, who is set to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe starting September 24, 2025.
