Marvel Television releases first look at Daredevil: Born Again

As a long-time fan of the gritty and gripping tales of Daredevil, I can hardly contain my excitement for the return of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk in the highly anticipated series, “Daredevil: Born Again.” Seven years have passed since the cancellation of the beloved Netflix series, but Marvel Studios has managed to keep the flame of hope alive with Charlie Cox’s appearances as Daredevil in various MCU projects.

2025 marks the highly anticipated return of The Man Without Fear to our TV screens, seven years following the end of the cherished “Daredevil” series on Netflix. Actor Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock, while Vincent D’Onofrio returns as Wilson Fisk. Both characters will now be part of Marvel Studios’ expansive universe, with Daredevil and the Kingpin becoming key figures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Initially, both characters debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) within a week of each other, but in distinctly different productions. Cox appeared briefly in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” while D’Onofrio’s Kingpin was unveiled as the hidden antagonist in the Disney Plus series “Hawkeye.” Since then, they have reappeared in various titles. For instance, Daredevil reemerged in “She-Hulk: Attorney At Law” and “Echo,” playing significant roles in the latter as one of the main characters. Fisk, however, has not yet interacted with Cox’s character within the MCU (although they almost did in “Echo”). Their paths will cross in the upcoming sequel series, “Daredevil: Born Again.

Among the highly awaited events of 2025 (indeed, one of Marvel TV’s most eagerly waited-for releases), Born Again is set to reintroduce us to the grimy landscape of Daredevil as depicted in the original Netflix series. Recently, Marvel has revealed the first authentic images from it, offering a sneak peek at what lies ahead.

Marvel has publicly revealed the initial images for the series “Daredevil: Born Again”. These photos were unveiled as a collection showcasing the upcoming lineup on Disney Plus, offering preliminary glimpses into live-action shows like “Wonder Man”, “Ironheart”, and “Daredevil: Born Again”, along with animated projects such as “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”, “Marvel Zombies”, and “Eyes of Wakanda”.

Two snapshots were unveiled for “Born Again.” The initial image seems to be a scene grab from the series, offering fans their first close-up view of Charlie Cox reprising his role in the revamped Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Daredevil costume. This glimpse is truly captivating, and the quality of the shot, coupled with its coloring and lighting, suggests that we’re in for a visually stunning journey that aligns perfectly with both the tone of the Daredevil comics and the Netflix series.

Cox has, of course, donned multiple suits throughout his time as Daredevil (both in the original series and his multiple MCU appearances). When the Daredevil persona made its debut in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, he wore the yellow and red suit, which made for quite the change. It looked great and allowed Marvel Studios to put their own stamp on the character that also matched the more light-hearted tone of She-Hulk. But when he returned in darker series Echo, he was back to his traditional red-and-black – which will be at the forefront of his own upcoming series.

In the latest Marvel production, Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk are seen having a coffee rendezvous, marking their first encounter within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). With the Netflix series now considered part of the franchise’s canon, the past between these two adversaries will undoubtedly cast a shadow over this meeting. Their relationship is far from affectionate, but with a possible major threat emerging, could they find some common ground? After all, unexpected events are not unheard of in the MCU.

After a short preview on Disney Plus, these images follow, giving a glimpse of the show while hinting at all the upcoming Marvel series slated for 2025. Just like they did with these pictures, fans eagerly devoured it as their excitement and eagerness for the show continues to swell.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve been eagerly waiting for over seven years for another installment of Daredevil, and my excitement has finally reached its peak with the announcement of a fresh series! Although the Netflix show shares continuity with Marvel Cinematic Universe events, there’s an undeniable thrill in anticipating their interactions in the present-day MCU. Seeing both Daredevil and Wilson Fisk cross paths promises an experience that will leave me absolutely awestruck!

Is it 2025 yet?!

Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney Plus on March 4, 2025.
