I was so excited to see the *Wonder Man* VHS cover at NYCC! It finally gave us a great look at Simon Willard in his suit, alongside his co-star Jackie Kay, and what looks like one of the bad guys from the show. It really gave me a good feel for the series!
It’s unknown if the characters Willard and Kay are inspired by real people, or if they’ll appear in the upcoming Disney+ series, perhaps using old footage.

The Disney+ series *Wonder Man* presents an opportunity to address the ongoing debate about race-swapping in Hollywood. Simon Williams, the character, will be portrayed as Black in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a departure from his comic book origins and the original actor, Brent Willard, who was White.
