Marvel Studios has paved the way for its forthcoming narrative. In a fresh interview, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed that three crucial films are planned for the MCU post-Avengers: Secret Wars, and fans might already have some guesses about them.

As per film insider Jeff Sneider, it appears that Ryan Coogler’s “Black Panther 3” may start filming in early 2027, with a release date set for February 2028. Although Marvel Studios hasn’t officially confirmed this, it’s been reported that Denzel Washington is involved with the third installment. The plot of the movie is expected to revolve around events from “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Secret Wars,” but fans are curious about what will happen to Shuri, whether T’Challa’s secret son might take over, or if T’Challa himself could be played by a different actor.
X-Men
As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that while mutants have made their presence known in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, it’s not until Phase 7, which kicks off in 2028, that Marvel Studios plans to delve deeper into this beloved comic book franchise and bring the X-Men to life on the big screen, MCU style. The mastermind behind this project is none other than Jake Schreier, director of Thunderbolts, who’s confirmed to be at the helm. What’s more, Marvel Studios is rumored to be focusing on younger talent for the X-Men roles instead of A-listers, which I think is a fantastic approach for breathing fresh life into these iconic characters!
Blade
Initially announced in 2019, the Marvel Studios’ film “Blade” experienced so many delays and revisions that some fans speculated it might have been cancelled. However, Kevin Feige has quelled those doubts, confirming that Mahershala Ali’s “Blade” is indeed moving forward and disclosing that the movie will be set in a contemporary era. As for when it will hit theaters, no specific timeline has been shared other than a post-“Secret Wars” release.
