Marvel Rivals Welcomes Thing and Human Torch to the Roster This Week
NetEase has revealed that the Fantastic Four team will be fully assembled within the game “Marvel Rivals” soon, as Thing and Human Torch are scheduled to join on a forthcoming Friday, along with the introduction of a fresh Central Park map.
On the battlefield, Human Torch (Johnny Storm) ignites fierce flames, whereas Thing (Ben Grimm) serves as a frontline character with an indestructible physique. In contrast, the Central Park map centers around Dracula’s castle, where a ritual is being performed.
Marvel Rivals, just like any other successful game, continues to thrive. However, even with its prosperity, the development team has faced job cuts, as stated by NetEase, in a move aimed at “enhancing development productivity” for their free-to-play shooter.
In light of internal organization needs and to enhance the game’s development effectiveness, we have recalibrated the development team setup for Marvel Rivals as of late.” (This sentence was sent to VGC)
The decision led to a downsizing of the Seattle-based design team, which is part of a broader international design operation for Marvel Rivals. We acknowledge the diligence and commitment shown by those impacted, and we assure them that their confidentiality will be maintained, along with respectful recognition for their individual achievements.
On February 21st, Marvel Rivals is set to introduce characters such as Human Torch, The Thing, and a fresh Central Park map.
