NetEase has revealed that they’re set to make changes in the game “Marvel Rivals,” with the second half of Season 1 just around the corner next week. They will be introducing Thing and Human Torch to round off the Fantastic Four roster, as well as significant balance tweaks and a reset for the rankings.
According to the recent Marvel Rivals blog post, after thorough examination and deliberation, we’ve found that a player’s ranking during the first half of Season 1 provides the most accurate reflection of their competitive abilities within the season. With this in mind, we’re planning to introduce a rank adjustment to ensure better compatibility with the upcoming content and modifications!
After the league reset, there’s a four-division drop for you, so if you finish the first half of Season 1 in Diamond I, you’ll start the second half in Platinum II. Players who are currently in Gold rank or higher will get a costume as a reward, and those at Grandmaster level (and the top 500 players) will receive a ‘Crest of Honor’, each with its own distinctive design.
To earn your rewards, you’ll need to engage in at least 10 competitive matches and satisfy certain criteria. In upcoming seasons, you may notice similar rank adjustments. The post further clarifies that players can anticipate starting each new Season with a demotion of six divisions, followed by another demotion of four divisions halfway through the season. They mention that they will make necessary adjustments as needed!
The second half of Marvel Rivals Season 1 will get underway from 21st February.
Hey Competitors,
The initial segment of Season 1 is about to conclude, with the second half starting on February 21, 2025! Prepare yourself for the arrival of two fresh Super Heroes joining Marvel Rivals: The Thing and Human Torch. Additionally, expect seasonal changes in rankings.
Furthermore, we’ve got more exciting updates in store, so stay tuned!
