Marvel Rivals set to add Thor, Jeff the Land Shark to ongoing Closed Beta Test
As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into various titles, I can’t help but get excited about the latest additions to Marvel Rivals! Jeff the Land Shark and Thor are joining the Closed Beta Test roster, bringing us a total of 23 heroes and villains to choose from.
With their additions, the roster expands to 23 heroes and villains.
I was thrilled to learn that Jeff the Land Shark and Thor are set to join the roster of playable characters in the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test, according to an announcement made by NetEase Games on July 25th.
As a long-time Marvel fan with countless hours spent on battling it out in various games and reading comics, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow enthusiasts. Thor and Jeff the Land Shark might not be playable characters yet in the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test, but trust me, they’re coming soon!

When does Thor and Jeff the Land Shark become available in the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test?
Two fresh characters are set to join the game on July 27, as announced at the Comic-Con in San Diego by NetEase Games. These newcomers will be incorporated into the game following a software update on that same date.
Players now have the option to select from amongst 23 different heroes and villains, including newcomers Thor and Jeff the Land Shark, during the Closed Beta Test. Their roles as Duelists, Strategists, or Vanguards have yet to be determined.

Starting from July 23, Tuesday, and lasting until August 5, Monday, the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test is underway. During this period, fortunate participants get an extended opportunity to explore the gameplay of Thor and Jeff the Land Shark.
If you haven’t been given a code to join the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test, you can still participate using friend codes and Twitch drops. The game is now accessible on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, so if you own any of these platforms, go ahead and try it out!
