Marvel Rivals Is Adding the Fantastic Four, Trailer Next Week

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for Marvel and Overwatch-esque games, I can hardly contain my excitement! The announcement of the Fantastic Four joining the roster of playable heroes in Marvel Rivals has me buzzing like Mr. Fantastic stretching his limbs!

Having spent countless hours in team-based shooters, I’ve grown to appreciate the unique blend of strategy and skill they offer. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good superhero fix? With Marvel Rivals launching just last December, it quickly made its way onto my Games of the Year list, and now, with the addition of the Fantastic Four, it’s only getting better!

I’ve always been a fan of the underdog, and Squirrel Girl certainly fits that bill. So when I said, “Yes, in simple terms Marvel Rivals is an Overwatch clone, but does Overwatch have Squirrel Girl? I rest my case,” little did I know that the developers were listening!

I can’t wait to see these iconic characters come to life in Marvel Rivals. And who knows? Maybe we’ll even get a special team-up ability where the Thing can throw Invisible Woman like a Frisbee, and she can teleport away just before impact!

Now, if only they could work on adding coffee breaks for when things get too intense… I mean, what good is being Mr. Fantastic if you can’t stretch out for a cup of joe? 😉

According to the latest announcement from NetEase Games, the Marvel Rivals game will soon include the Fantastic Four as a part of its lineup of playable characters.

Last week, the Marvel Rivals Twitter page shared an update stating they’ll release a trailer featuring their upcoming characters within the following seven days.

Prepare yourself for the arrival of Marvel’s First Family in Marvel Rivals! The trailer will be released on January 6th at 8:00 AM Pacific Standard Time or 16:00 Coordinated Universal Time. Don’t miss it!”

Or, more casually:

“Mark your calendars! On January 6th at 8:00 AM PST/16:00 UTC, Marvel’s First Family will be making their way into Marvel Rivals. The trailer is dropping then, so don’t forget to tune in!

As a devoted fan, I stumbled upon this post showcasing some stunning concept art featuring our beloved Quartet dressed in their iconic blue and white attire. They were seen zooming through the skies in what looked like a futuristic flying minivan – quite the thrilling sight!

In simple terms, “Marvel Rivals” is a no-cost, six versus six team-shooting game, played from a third-person perspective. You assume the roles of Marvel superheroes in this game, which can be likened to Overwatch but with a Marvel twist – essentially it’s a hero-based shooter game.

The game was released in December, and it made an appearance on our “Game of the Year” list in the multiplayer section. However, it came in second place.

In simpler terms, our conclusion was, “Indeed, Marvel Rivals bears a resemblance to Overwatch, but what sets it apart is the inclusion of Squirrel Girl, a character not found in Overwatch. My argument stands.

Gear up, fellow gamers! The Fantastic Four are about to join the ranks in Marvel Rivals. Catch a glimpse of them in action on January 6th at 8:00 AM PST or 16:00 UTC – mark your calendars and don’t miss out! #MarvelRivals #FantasticFour #NewYorkCity
