As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for Marvel Universe and a penchant for team-based PvP shooters, I must say that the upcoming launch of Marvel Rivals has me absolutely thrilled! The roster expansion with characters like Wolverine, Squirrel Girl, Iron Fist, Black Widow, Cloak & Dagger, and even Hawkeye, not to mention the new maps like Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface, is a dream come true for this Marvel fanatic.
The trailers for “Marvel Rivals”, a game jointly developed by Marvel Games and NetEase, have been unveiled before its release on Friday. This trailer showcases the last set of characters that will be available at the game’s launch, as well as some fresh maps to explore.
Among the last heroes and villains to be revealed for the free-to-play team-based PvP shooter are Wolverine, Squirrel Girl, Iron Fist, Black Widow, and Cloak & Dagger, who join recent addition Hawkeye on the 33-strong character roster.
Regarding the latest maps, one titled “Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface,” focuses on the adventures of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Venom. The narrative of this map revolves around Shuri dispatching the Guardians to Klyntar to vanquish Knull, a menace that endangers Bast, the Panther God.
When Milano collides with Klyntar, the Guardians encounter Venom, who devises a unique approach for managing the slumbering Knull. Interestingly, Venom seeks a cautious method to control Knull’s power effectively, while the Guardians aim to destroy him completely.
As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that when Marvel Rivals officially drops on 6th December for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, it will feature a Hydra base among its exciting maps! You can feast your eyes on the launch trailer below, complete with music from Chrissy Costanza.
