Marvel Rivals Currency, Cosmetic Items, and Battle Pass Details Revealed Ahead of Tomorrow’s Launch
As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the vibrant world of Marvel Comics and its cinematic universe, I can confidently say that “Marvel Rivals” has piqued my interest like no other game in recent memory. The prospect of stepping into the shoes of these iconic characters, each with their unique abilities and styles, is nothing short of exhilarating.
Tomorrow marks the release of Marvel Rivals, and NetEase Games has disclosed the main in-game currencies along with a range of cosmetic items you can acquire using them. The developers have emphasized that the game will not offer any stat boosts or pay-to-win aspects.
According to the recent Dev Talk post, the team has put a lot of hard work into creating and fine-tuning these in-game accessories inspired by various aspects of Marvel’s famous comics, movies, and other works. These items not only pay homage to Marvel’s artistic heritage but also offer us an opportunity to reimagine and represent diverse elements of the Marvel universe.
In this game, ‘Lattice’ serves as the premium gold currency, obtainable by spending real money. On the other hand, ‘Units’ is Marvel Rivals’ blue currency, which can be swapped for Lattice at a 1:1 rate. You can also gather Units in smaller amounts for free through the game’s Battle Pass, by accomplishing Achievements and participating in Events.
100 units of Lattice will only cost you $0.99, whereas the premium bundle of 11,680 Lattice amounts to $99.99. These Lattice can later be used for purchasing a cosmetic pack, typically containing five items such as a costume, MVP animation, emote, spray, and nameplate. The pricing details for the complete cosmetic bundle are provided below.
- Standard Epic-Quality Bundle: 1,600 Units (Standard value: 2,200 Units, -28% discount)
- Standard Epic-Quality MCU Bundle: 1,800 Units (Standard value: 2,400 Units, -25% discount)
- Standard Legendary-Quality Bundle: 2,400 Units (Standard value: 3,300 Units, -28% discount)
In every Marvel Rivals Battle Pass, you’ll find stunning and eye-catching cosmetic items comparable to those sold in sets, plus there are free cosmetics to obtain through gameplay. The initial Season 0 ‘Premium Battle Pass’, priced at 490 Lattices, comes with five outfits and related cosmetics, along with additional items that can be claimed using ‘Chrono Tokens’.
With a free Battle Pass, you’ll receive one high-quality costume and various other items as rewards. However, if you opt for the Premium Battle Pass, it becomes permanently yours and allows you to keep unlocking items across future seasons – there’s no expiration date. Since Season 0 will be quite brief, the cost and content of the Premium Battle Pass will adjust accordingly.
Tomorrow, I’m super excited to tell you that Marvel Rivals is dropping on my Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC! You can get a sneak peek at the newest character trailers down below. This game packs quite a punch with a launch roster of 33 characters ready for action!
