Marvel Rivals Adds Moon Knight to its Launch Roster
As a lifelong Marvel enthusiast and avid gamer, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of “Marvel Rivals” this December! With Moon Knight joining the launch roster, it feels like Christmas came early for me. Having spent countless hours reading comics featuring the vigilante with multiple personalities, I’ve always been fascinated by his unique blend of mysticism and brutality.
In simple terms, it has been announced that Moon Knight will be one of the characters included in the initial team for Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play competitive multiplayer shooter game featuring superheroes, which is set to be released in December.
Moon Knight is the vigilante identity of Marc Spector, a former mercenary who was granted a new life as the embodiment or the lunar deity, Khonshu from Egyptian mythology. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to dispense justice against your adversaries, much like Moon Knight does with criminals on the streets.
As stated by NetEase, Moon Knight exhibits a fierce fighting style and possesses the ability to create a portal overhead during combat that links him to the cosmos. This connection summons the powerful weapons of Khonshu, leaving his adversaries vulnerable. For a more detailed view of Moon Knight (and Psylocke, who was recently unveiled), please watch the trailer below.
The action-packed game “Marvel Rivals” is set to release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on the 6th of December. This game features an ever-changing roster of iconic Marvel characters, both heroes and villains, spanning the vast Marvel Multiverse. Additionally, it offers various destructible environments. At launch, all characters will be accessible, each with their unique abilities at your disposal.
