Marvel reveals when Tom Hiddleston will return as Loki (and it’s sooner than you thought)

As a die-hard Marvel fan with over two decades of comics and movies under my belt, I can confidently say that Loki, played brilliantly by Tom Hiddleston, has been one of the most captivating characters to grace our screens. From his mischievous antics to his complex redemption arcs, Loki has truly stolen the show, leaving us all eager for more.

Ever since I stumbled upon Loki in the epic saga of Thor back in 2011, it’s been tough for any other Marvel character to hold my attention like he has. Tom Hiddleston’s portrayal of this cunning, devious, and lethal trickster has left an indelible mark on me and countless fans. There’s just something captivating about Loki that no one else can quite replicate.

As a gamer, I find myself in an intriguing position, having witnessed two transformative journeys of a character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first was a villain who transitioned into a hero, tragically meeting his demise at the hands of Thanos, a selfless act to shield my brother Thor. The second character, a variant torn from another timeline, didn’t have the chance to evolve from his villainous role in the Avengers. However, he managed to find redemption by giving up his aspirations to safeguard the Sacred Timelines across the multiverse.

Although Loki Season 2 seems like the concluding part of the Disney Plus series, fans anticipate Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the Trickster God. Fortunately, they won’t need to wait as long as initially thought.

Tom Hiddleston will voice Loki in What If…? season 3

Tom Hiddleston will once again take on the character of Loki for the third and last season of Marvel’s “What If…?” series. The voice cast has been officially revealed by Marvel for this upcoming animated series installment, and it includes Hiddleston’s name, indicating that we can expect to encounter a particular incarnation of the Trickster God across its eight episodes.

The actor has previously lent his voice to his MCU character in the animated series during seasons 1 and 2, but it’s exciting to learn that he will continue to be part of the show’s final season. Interestingly, another Avengers and Thor star is also expected to join him, much like in previous seasons. Chris Hemsworth will once again take on the role of Thor, the God of Thunder, providing his voice for at least one more version of Thor from the multiverse.

In plain terms, we don’t know exactly how Loki will appear or what he’ll do in the third season of “What If…?” despite trailers for the animated series’ final season. The show is known for twisting the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline, so it’s hard to guess where Loki might end up. But whatever the scenario, it promises to be fun and exciting.

It’s predicted that Tom Hiddleston’s character Loki may reappear on the big screen soon, possibly in either “Avengers: Doomsday” or “Avengers: Secret Wars.” This is because Loki seems crucial to maintaining the current state of the Marvel multiverse, especially since these upcoming movies are expected to conclude the Multiverse Saga. Therefore, it’s quite probable that he will have a role in one or both of these films.

Although Marvel and those involved have kept quiet about the future of the Loki TV show on Disney Plus, any sighting of the character is cherished. So, his upcoming roles in What If…? season 3 come as a delightful unexpected turn of events.
