Marvel Fans Shocked: Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson as Captain and Madame Hydra?
In simple terms, the Marvel Cinematic Universe consistently delights us with fresh content, whether it’s in cinemas or on Disney+. However, fans who have followed the Marvel films sequentially over the years recognize that the most significant scenes often appear in the Avengers series. As a result, the next two Marvel movies are eagerly awaited by fans, and fan artists have imaginatively portrayed Chris Evans as Captain America and Scarlett Johansson as Madame Hydra.
The details about “Avengers: Doomsday” are scarce, but it’s anticipated to be a thrilling multiversal tale featuring a vast ensemble of characters. Although Captain America actor Chris Evans didn’t appear in the “Doomsday” cast stream, there were earlier rumors suggesting he might portray an evil version. Recently, a fan on Instagram has envisioned both Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson as HYDRA operatives; you can view their imaginative concept below.

Isn’t that amazing though? Though there hasn’t been any official confirmation from the studio, it would be thrilling to witness Evans and Johansson teaming up again, this time aiding the villains instead. Given the presence of the multiverse, it seems like anything could happen! However, whether or not these two top-tier actors are interested in portraying these alternate versions is a different discussion altogether.

On Disney+, you can find the home of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The new ad-supported plan is priced at $9.99 per month to get started. For an ad-free experience, the cost is $15.99 per month. Alternatively, save 16% by pre-paying for a year at $159.99 and enjoy uninterrupted streaming. Check out the deal now!
In January, Chris Evans appeared to refute claims that he was in the movie “Doomsday”, but due to Marvel’s stringent secrecy, fans remain skeptical. After all, Andrew Garfield had long denied his return as Spider-Man before the release of “No Way Home”.
As a devoted cinephile, I can’t help but ponder over Scarlett Johansson’s initial reluctance to tarnish Black Widow’s conclusive narrative. Yet, perhaps she could find acceptance in portraying an alternate version of Natasha Romanoff. This way, her character’s demise would continue resonating profoundly, while offering the actress a chance to rejoin the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The intrigue surrounding Doomsday and Secret Wars remains veiled in mystery, but with the Russo Brothers once again directing these blockbuster epics, MCU enthusiasts are brimming with anticipation that the original Avengers might make a surprising reappearance somewhere within the scope of those projects.

As a dedicated cinema enthusiast, I can’t help but reflect on the poignant conclusions that Black Widow and Captain America each received in “Avengers: Endgame”. Natasha Romanoff’s selfless act to retrieve the Soul Stone and undo Thanos’ devastation was heart-wrenching. On the other hand, Steve Rogers finally experienced his well-deserved happy ending, time-traveling back to dance with Peggy Carter. Reintroducing these characters could potentially dilute the emotional impact of their final goodbyes.
It’s not surprising that Evans reappeared in the comic series “Daredevil & Wolverine“, playing a version of the Fantastic Four’s Human Torch this time. Given this, it seems plausible that he might don the Captain Hydra uniform again. Admittedly, convincing Johnson could be challenging, but maybe the Russo Brothers can pull it off.
You won’t find answers to your Avengers-related questions until next year, as “Avengers: Doomsday” isn’t due out until then. However, the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film arriving in theaters is “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” scheduled for July 25th, 2025, which is part of the 2025 movie schedule.
