Marvel drops TWO major trailers (but one was noticeably absent)

As a seasoned gamer of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) lore, I can confidently say that 2025 is poised to be a blockbuster year for our beloved franchise! Fresh off the heels of Deadpool and Wolverine’s reunion and the intriguing developments in WandaVision on Disney Plus, the MCU has us geared up for another thrilling ride.

2025 appears poised for an extraordinary run in the Marvel Studios universe. With the successful re-entry into its box office dominance following the debut of Deadpool and Wolverine, as well as the renewed fervor on streaming platforms with Disney Plus series Agatha All Along, the Marvel Cinematic Universe promises to keep its global audience enthralled with an impressive lineup of blockbuster films and TV productions in the coming year.

Following the unveiling of a teaser for Disney Plus releases scheduled for next year, the studio made a strong impact at D23 Brazil by showcasing additional forthcoming productions. This gathering featured brief appearances from cast members of various Marvel Cinematic Universe titles, as well as two thrilling trailers highlighting specific upcoming projects.

Instead of the anticipated trailer missing alongside these two, what fans lamented wasn’t present, it’s indisputable that the snippets we received were more than enough to fuel our anticipation.

Marvel’s most unlikely heroes unite in Thunderbolts* Special Look trailer

The most unexpected moment of the event was the debut of a fresh trailer for Thunderbolts, which is scheduled to release next year. While it’s expected that trailers would be shown at big events like this one, what caught us off guard was the fact that we had already seen a trailer for Thunderbolts as recently as September, and the movie itself doesn’t hit theaters until May.

As ardent fans, we’re not the type to grumble, but when Marvel pulls off something stunning, we can’t help but express our gratitude by saying “Thank you so much! We adore it!” And indeed, we do adore it. The action in Thunderbolts looks nothing short of spectacular, and there’s no question that this movie is going to be one of the most entertaining installments in the franchise for a while. With characters from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier all set to make an appearance, this is a genuine Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover, and we can’t wait for it with bated breath!

Anthony Mackie takes flight in Captain America: Brave New World trailer

We’ve been anticipating this movie trailer, and here it is! The highly anticipated “Captain America: Brave New World” is slated for release in February 2025, marking the next thrilling chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Naturally, Marvel has been working hard to generate excitement, premiering this movie as the main event at its D23 Brazil panel and unveiling the fresh new trailer for the film.

Speaking of this upcoming movie, it appears to follow a similar style as the summer-released trailer suggested – resembling “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” by being a more realistic, politically charged thriller that intensifies the sense of uncertainty about who can be trusted. With Sam Wilson now bearing the shield, and the world grappling with the aftermath of The Blip (not to mention a colossal Celestial hand emerging from the sea), there’s much at stake in this film – making it an exciting journey to behold.

Oh yeah, and Harrison Ford becomes a giant, red, CGI Hulk! What’s not to love!

No Daredevil: Born Again trailer just yet

In anticipation of D23 Brazil, what fans were especially excited about was the trailer for “Daredevil: Born Again”. Earlier in the year, a sneak peek had been shown exclusively at the D23 Expo in Anaheim. However, it was disappointing that we didn’t get to see this or a new trailer online as expected.

It’s the absence of a trailer for now that adds an element of surprise to the upcoming release of “Thunderbolts”. While it’s set to hit theaters in May, the much-anticipated “Daredevil: Born Again” on Disney Plus won’t premiere until March. It’s unusual that “Thunderbolts” has already released two trailers, while “Daredevil” doesn’t even have one yet.

Excitedly speaking, it seems the trailer is on its way and might drop ahead of November’s end! This is fantastic news for us fans eagerly waiting to witness Charlie Cox back in action as The Man Without Fear, alongside Vincent D’Onofrio’s formidable Kingpin once more.

I’ll say it again: 2025 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Marvel Studios!
