Fans of Marvel are eagerly awaiting the two upcoming Avengers films, and rightfully so. To use a term they’re well-versed in, “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” can be considered the climax of the Multiverse Saga. This epic conclusion will mark the end of this storyline while simultaneously setting the stage for the next one.

The Multiverse Saga, Marvel Cinematic Universe’s grandest storyline to date, has been a delight for many reasons. Notably, the introduction of Disney Plus shows has enabled the franchise to weave a broader narrative, shining a spotlight on lesser-known, fresher, and underappreciated Marvel characters.

In other words, there were instances where opportunities weren’t fully seized within the MCU, leading to some criticism and underperformance – a first for Marvel Studios. This has prompted them to make adjustments to regain their signature formula of consistent success and praise. As a result, we’re seeing a fresh strategy and even whispers about potential cancellations.

Fans had expressed concern over the Disney Plus series titled “Ms. Marvel,” but recent reports hint at a potential second season. It’s possible that this speculation may hold some merit (though we might have to be patient for more information).

Ms. Marvel season 2 could happen, but it would likely be after Avengers: Secret Wars

In a monthly Q&A session with fans through The Cosmic Circus, Marvel insider Alex Perez shared some intriguing details about the potential second season of Ms. Marvel. According to Perez’s latest report, the possibility of Ms. Marvel season 2 exists; however, it won’t be produced until after the Multiverse Saga has concluded.

This point carries significant weight for several reasons. Firstly, it hints that the show could be coming back for a second installment. Given the speculation surrounding potential cancellations, this seems to indicate that another season is still under consideration.

Marvel is apparently reconsidering some of its Disney Plus series to determine if they could potentially continue for additional seasons as part of their strategy to create multi-season TV shows rather than limited miniseries. Although it has been confirmed that both Hawkeye and Moon Knight will return for second seasons, the future of Ms. Marvel remains uncertain.

Based on recent news, there’s a strong possibility that Marvel will renew Ms. Marvel for a second season, given their enthusiasm for the Kamala Khan character. It makes perfect sense, considering the outstanding reception of the first season of Ms. Marvel, which earned the highest Rotten Tomatoes score among all MCU shows on Disney Plus at the time of its premiere. Upon its release, Kamala Khan quickly became a beloved character among fans.

Despite being in the less-than-stellar Marvel series “The Marvels”, she managed to establish a strong reputation on Disney Plus, amassing a dedicated fanbase eager for her return in another exciting journey. Since the first season had decent viewership and Marvel continues to support this character, it seems reasonable to consider reviving the show for another opportunity.

One significant aspect to keep in mind is that the debut season of “Ms. Marvel” introduced the first mention of the X-Men within the MCU, hinting at Kamala Khan’s mutant status. With Kevin Feige revealing that the MCU is moving towards the Mutants Era, which may unfold post-“Avengers: Secret Wars”, another installment of “Ms. Marvel” could play a crucial role in shaping the overall narrative. Thus, there is certainly a strong argument for renewing the series.
