Marvel Cosmic Invasion is an Arcade-Style Beat ’em Up From the Studio Behind TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge Coming This Year

Publisher and joint developer Dotemu along with Tribute Games, the team behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, have revealed Marvel Cosmic Invasion – an old-school beat ’em up game reminiscent of a 90s arcade gem.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion showcases a variety of iconic characters from its comic book golden age, offering you the chance to join forces with heroes such as Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Venom, Storm, Nova, and Phyla-Vell, in a battle against the villain Annihilus.

Banding together, Marvel’s top heroes embark on a side-scrolling brawl, battling the lethal Annihilation Wave across various interstellar locations. The journey begins on the bustling streets of New York City before reaching the depths of the Negative Zone for the climactic confrontation with Annihilus.

In this game, you have the option to select a duo of characters. During combat, you can switch control between them using the Cosmic Swap feature. Additionally, these characters can perform joint special attacks. The game offers cross-platform play, allowing local and online co-op for up to 4 players. You can join or leave the game at any time.

The Marvel Cosmic Invasion is set to arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers at some point in the current year.
