Many fans are hoping for a continuation of the popular *Jessica Jones* television series. Sources suggest another season is possible, and the news wasn’t hard to come by – even without needing any major plot twists or characters to reveal it to studio executives.
Krysten Ritter has become strongly associated with the character of Jessica Jones, captivating Marvel fans and leading to a second season of the show after its successful debut on Netflix. Brad Winderbaum, a key executive at Marvel Studios overseeing streaming, television, and animation, has also hinted at more to come, so his comments are worth noting.
During a conversation on the *Phase Hero* podcast, Kevin Feige was jokingly asked about a potential reboot or new series featuring Jessica Jones, especially since Jessica Jones is set to appear in Season 2 of *Daredevil: Born Again*.
He hinted it might happen quickly, smiling knowingly. Krysten then enthusiastically added that she and Brad had discussed potential developments, but she wouldn’t reveal any details yet, promising they would become apparent through their actions.
Ritter probably hinted at her upcoming role in Season 2 of *Daredevil: Born Again* and her return alongside Murdock. However, it was also obvious she’s still hoping for another season of *Jessica Jones* to be made.
Jessica Jones Has A Ton of Untapped Potential
The show subtly references Jessica Jones’s struggles with alcohol, and it’s this honesty that resonates with viewers. We see her deeply personal traumas and inner battles, and this vulnerability is part of what makes her so compelling. Despite everything, she fights through her challenges, and through relationships with people like Malcolm and Trish, she discovers empathy and gradually evolves from a flawed anti-hero into a true superhero.
This character’s popularity launched the successful team-up series *The Defenders* for Marvel and Netflix. While *The Defenders* had a mixed reception, partly due to fan reaction to Finn Jones as Iron Fist, the potential of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones – and their developing, yet complex, relationship – felt largely unexplored. However, the revival of *Daredevil* hints at a future where Jessica Jones might finally return to leading her own show.
Before Disney started making more mature content, shows like *Jessica Jones*, *Daredevil*, and *The Punisher* were key in convincing the company to explore that type of storytelling. These series paved the way for other gritty and realistic shows, even though the potential of characters like Jessica Jones hasn’t been fully explored within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so we definitely need to see more of her story.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is set to make its way to Disney+ in March 2026.
