In a new development for Marvel Universe fans, Helen Cho will make a comeback on screen, portrayed by a fresh actress, marking a return for the character ten years after her significant appearance in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. Known for her pivotal yet modest role in the Avengers’ second movie, she aided Earth’s most powerful heroes before being compelled to assist Ultron in his efforts to enhance himself. Since then, she has been absent from the MCU, but now another universe is set to bring her back to life.
In the upcoming show, “Iron Man and his Awesome Friends,” streaming on Disney+ and airing on Disney Jr., Disney has chosen Lauren Tom to lend her voice to the character of Helen Cho. Tom, who has previously appeared in live-action roles such as Friends, The Joy Luck Club, and Supernatural (for more about Supernatural’s original ending, click here), is also an experienced voiceover artist with a long list of credits to her name. This time around, she will rejoin the Marvel universe in a fresh role for Disney Jr.
Disney Jr. confirmed that Tom will voice the animated character of Helen Cho for the upcoming Iron Man series, joining John Stamos who plays Howard Stark. The specific details about Helen’s role in the show are yet to be disclosed, but she is set to be a significant character among the main cast. This version of Helen Cho will offer a fresh interpretation compared to Claudia Kim’s portrayal in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, as Kim won’t reprise her role since then.
Iron Man and His Incredible Companions”
The latest addition to the youth-oriented Marvel series on Disney Jr. is titled “Iron Man and His Incredible Companions.” Starring John Stamos, Mason Blomberg, Tony Hale, Vanessa Bayer, Fred Tatasciore, and more, this show centers around a young Tony Stark (the Iron Man character). In the storyline, our titular hero joins forces with his closest friends, Riri Williams (Ironheart) and Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk), to safeguard their world from emerging threats such as Ultron, Swarm, and Absorbing Man. “Iron Man and His Incredible Companions” premieres on Disney Jr. on Monday, August 11, with new episodes available the following day on Disney+.
Helen Cho Returns, Leading Fans to Ask About Amadeus Cho

In the 17-year run of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Helen Cho has appeared just once. Now, with her appearance in this fresh animated series, fans are speculating if she’ll reappear in the live-action storyline. Similarly, there’s curiosity about Amadeus Cho, her well-known son from the comics, who transforms into a different Hulk character in Marvel Comics.
In terms of possible appearances, it’s plausible that Helen might resurface in the upcoming “Vision Quest” series, as it’s introducing characters from the Age of Ultron era such as Ultron and Friday. Given Helen’s connections to various AI systems, her return could provide an intriguing update on her activities over the past decade. It’s likely that she remains interested in the technology depicted in this series, particularly since it poses a threat to the world once more.
The real curiosity revolves around where we might find Amadeus next, given his long-standing association with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It’s plausible that he could be linked to whatever Marvel is brewing for the Young Avengers team, which could potentially adopt the name Champions within Marvel Studios. With several young heroes already in action within the MCU, Cho might make an appearance as a new Hulk-like character among them, contingent on how Marvel decides to introduce him to the storyline.
Independent of the details, it is widely hoped among fans that both Helen and Amadeus will be featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future, as the storylines grow and evolve with new narratives.
