Marty Sheargold returns with shocking take on the Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban split – after sexist Matildas outburst cost him his radio job

After facing backlash earlier this year for making sexist comments, Marty Sheargold has offered a strange perspective on the rumored split between Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

The 54-year-old radio personality was fired from Triple M in February after making negative comments about the Matildas and women’s sports.

The media figure has once again sparked controversy with sexist comments about the recent divorce, this time posting on Instagram on Thursday. These remarks have caused shock in Australia.

According to the speaker, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have separated, and he intends to discuss the common experiences men face after a breakup.

‘And it’s as simple as you are immediately in the wrong, regardless of what happened.’

Marty predicted Keith would soon be caught in a whirlwind of rumors, gossip, and speculation.

He explained that modern stories often need a villain, and that villain is usually a man.

We actually considered having Hugh Jackman play the villain, but it proved tricky. Everyone loves him, especially after ‘The Boy From Oz’!

Marty performed a section of his song “I Go To Rio” and then said, “Honestly, if someone can even tie a knot in their shirt at chest level, they should be able to achieve anything they set their mind to, and that principle should apply everywhere.”

The comedian joked that Australia didn’t offer Hugh Jackman much support during his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness, simply because he’s incredibly handsome.

Marty explained that Keith is facing a difficult time because everyone supports Nicole. He pointed out that Keith, who grew up in Caboolture, simply isn’t the same person as Nicole.

He ended his outburst by declaring his support for Nic, and jokingly added that he’d probably side with Keith if he were drinking alcohol again.

This follows widespread criticism of Marty earlier this year after he made offensive, sexist remarks about the country’s favorite sports team.

He appeared on The Marty Sheargold Show shortly after the Matildas lost to the US Women’s National Team by a score of 2-1.

Okay, so Troy mentioned the Matildas, and honestly, I was bracing myself because then Marty launched into this thing about how he thinks something is just…off with them. He was so convinced! It’s like, I get being passionate, but he really seemed to believe there was a problem brewing with the team. It was wild!

Everyone really connected with the team during the fantastic World Cup tournament last year, despite their surprising run ending before the final – they actually made it to the semi-finals!

It’s like watching a group of fifteen-year-old girls – all the drama, arguments, and complaining about coaches and training. Everyone’s upset with each other.

I apologize for speaking negatively about the sport, but that’s my honest opinion, and I don’t care if you’re offended.

The conversation then moved to Australia hosting the women’s Asian Cup next year.

Marty exclaimed, “I’d do almost anything to avoid watching that! Is there anything else on – something with men’s sports?”

Following the public backlash, Southern Cross Austereo announced they and Marty had agreed to end their working relationship. Marty later apologized for his comments.
