As a lifestyle expert with extensive experience in mental health and relationships, I empathize deeply with Martine McCutcheon’s struggle with anxiety and perimenopause symptoms. It’s heartbreaking to see someone as vibrant and talented as her feeling lost and overwhelmed.

Martine McCutcheon openly disclosed that anxiety turned her into a more secluded person following her separation from husband Jack McManus, as she frankly shared her personal battles.

As someone who has experienced the pain of a long-term relationship ending unexpectedly, I can empathize with the actress going through this difficult time. It’s never easy to navigate the aftermath of such a significant breakup, especially when it occurs after years of being together and publicly displaying affection for one another.

She is now remembering the sensation of thinking she might be going insane, overpowered by intense fear, during her experiences with perimenopause symptoms.

In an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Martine disclosed: I found myself reluctant to pick up the phone or answer the door, avoiding going outside due to sudden bouts of intense fear that would strike me out of nowhere. This fear was so overwhelming, it even made me feel unable to breathe and caused me to pull over when driving.

‘I genuinely felt I was losing my mind. I didn’t know if I really was or if it was something that was perimenopausal.’

She added: ‘It would just come on out of nowhere and when I spoke to my specialist about it she said, “You know this is sadly the case for many women”.’

Currently, Martine is enjoying a vacation in Marbella alongside their son Rafferty, who is nine years old. Meanwhile, her former partner remains at their £1.5 million property in Surrey.

On a Friday, it seemed like Martine subtly criticized Jack by sharing a video from author Alex Elle on her social media.

In the video, Alex says: ‘The older I get, the less time I have for people who are unsure about me.

I’m seeking companions who are reliable, those who choose to stay, and individuals who create room for me in their lives.

Posting the video to her Story, Martine commented: ‘This woman is amazing. @alex_elle has a calming, tender voice that reminds us of our own power, importance, love, and genuine value.’

In a statement, she announced that after deep contemplation, Jack has chosen to part ways after 18 years, and I have agreed with his decision.

I’m incredibly fortunate and thankful to have a wonderful 9-year-old son named Rafferty. His wellbeing and joy are, have been, and will always remain my topmost concern.

She went on saying: “Regardless, we’ll always treasure and eagerly anticipate raising our marvelous son as co-parents for the entirety of our lifetimes…”

Although the path we’ve taken has changed gradually, we’re currently figuring out our next steps together as a family, and appreciate your understanding and respect for our need for personal space right now, particularly for our young son.

Our affection for Rafferty remains steadfast and unyielding, always standing firm. We are committed to ensuring his well-being and making him feel as secure and protected as he can be.

I’d like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for your understanding and kindness as we navigate through these challenging times. Rest assured, I am keeping Jack in my thoughts, showering him with all the love, luck, and happiness he deserves as he embarks on the next phase of his journey.

‘Rafferty and I (as always,) are rooting for you!

‘Thank you all, for the love and support, now and always…Martine.xx.’

Addressing TopMob specifically during Martine’s declaration, Jack stated: ‘I have no further comments on this matter.’

In the meantime, it was learned that neither of the couple’s neighbors suspected any trouble between them, while a relative of Jack mentioned the separation came as a surprise.

The neighbor mentioned, “What a shock! I frequently noticed them with their child. Martine was always kind and approachable. Honestly, I can’t help but feel sympathetic towards them.”

Jack’s family has stated that their separation occurred quite unexpectedly, with the event being initiated approximately two months prior.

Today, when asked about the reason for their separation, Jack’s aunt, currently residing at the family home in West Wickham, Kent, replied, “To be honest, I don’t know. His mother is with him right now. I’m taking care of the dog here.”

Things have been tough lately, what with all that’s been happening. Sadly, my sister recently lost her spouse. The news came quite unexpectedly and it has been two months since we were informed.

The couple married in 2012 in Italy’s picturesque Lake Como, five years after they started dating.
