Martin Lewis’ Jaw-Dropping Insult to Axed Co-Star Angellica Bell

Martin Lewis unintentionally said something insensitive about his heavy workload right before Angellica Bell emotionally shared her news of being let go from his program.

On last Tuesday’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother, Angellica, aged 49, found herself emotional while discussing for the first time the rumors that she had been let go quietly from The Martin Lewis Money Show in 2023.

The children’s television host openly admitted that it took quite some time for her to recover, and she shared that while participating in Celebrity Big Brother, she started to feel like her usual self once more.

Just prior to the airing of the emotionally charged scenes, Martin informed his audience that he had to decline work offers as he found himself too busy to commit.

As a dedicated lifestyle advisor, I recently found myself faced with an intriguing invitation: joining the cast of Celebrity Traitors. However, being mindful of my packed calendar and the responsibilities that come with my role, I hesitated due to concerns about finding the right balance.

He admitted, “I’m not a traitor, unfortunately. I feel anxious at the prospect of missing out on the famous Celebrity Traitors roster. I was offered a chance to participate, but had to decline because I couldn’t guarantee the required time commitment.

Martin confessed later that when he was given an opportunity for the celebrity edition of the show, he hadn’t yet seen it. However, he’s made up for it since then and feels disappointed not to be participating now.

He mentioned, “I didn’t see it back then, but later caught up with the final season and really enjoyed it. Consequently, I’m somewhat disappointed – even though I still can’t find the time for it. A deep sigh…

This year, BBC will air a new celebrity edition of its popular show, boasting an illustrious cast such as Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Tom Daley, Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, Paloma Faith, and Kate Garraway, along with several other notable figures.

2025 is when we can anticipate the broadcast of a show where a band called The Faithfuls chase after The Hidden Ones, an enigmatic group whose members remain undisclosed to most, and who commit a nightly ‘elimination’ to get rid of one of their own.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but eagerly tune in to Good Morning Britain and This Morning, for there, the illustrious Martin Lewis graces our screens, not just as a host of Celebrity Traitors, but also shining bright on The Martin Lewis Money Show.

From 2017, Angellica worked alongside Martin on his program. However, when the show resumed for its thirteenth season, she was noticeably absent.

Before getting booted off Celebrity Big Brother during Tuesday’s episode, I couldn’t help but pour out my feelings about my time inside the house. It was as if I had rediscovered myself, found that missing piece of me once more within those walls.

Angellica mentioned that it’s likely one of the top achievements she’s made recently. Prior to entering this place, she admitted to feeling somewhat apprehensive.

What carried me through were those messages and encouragement, which is why I chose to appear on this program to reconnect with my former self.

Angellica was unceremoniously let go from The Martin Lewis Show in 2022 days before filming began.

At one point, The Sun stated that producers argued the reason for Angellica’s dismissal was because she had appeared on Channel 5’s revamped The Gadget Show (now known as Shop Smart, Save Money), which supposedly created a conflict of interest.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but express my shock and disbelief over the unexpected turn of events! Insiders have revealed that everyone is astounded by this move – it was completely unforeseen. Angellica, who has been an indispensable part of our beloved show since 2017, was suddenly taken off the air without any prior notice. It’s absolutely mind-blowing!

The team members are discussing amongst themselves and find the situation uncomfortable and unjust, however, Martin is attempting to avoid getting involved since it wasn’t within his control.

The bosses claim there’s a conflict of interest due to The Gadget Show being rebranded as Shop Smart, Save Money, but in truth, the decision wasn’t related to Angellica at all.

A significant number of employees believe that bosses should have, at minimum, provided her with a warning or allowed her to choose which show she wished to remain part of.

TopMob reached out to ITV’s spokespersons seeking their response. On the other hand, the reps from Angellica chose not to respond when asked for a comment.

Immediately following the broadcast of her intense moments, Angellica was evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother residence.

On Triple Tuesday, she was the initial celebrity to leave, with TOWIE’s Ella Rae Wise and EastEnders star Patsy Palmer following suit afterwards.

Six individuals, namely Chesney Hawkes, Chris Hughes, Danny Beard, Donna Preston, Jack P. Shepherd, and JoJo Siwa are now in the final round.

On the evening following the announcement by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best that over a million votes had been cast, Angellica was the one who was forced to leave.

Exiting the house, Angellica said she felt ‘amazing’ as she was greeted by cheers.

To the hosts, Angellica found herself moved as she revisited her most memorable moments and candidly discussed her personal encounters with nominations.

Angellica mentioned: ‘It isn’t pleasant to point out mistakes in others, especially if you don’t know them well.’

Initially, Patsy’s behavior took me aback a bit. She’s quite experienced and clearly knows her desires, while I tend to yield to others’ wishes more often.

She often made me feel more like a cared-for child than an equal, which wasn’t necessarily negative, yet it was because she desired to protect me. However, I yearned for the opportunity to contribute and assist as well.
