Actor Martin Compston will be reprising his character in the upcoming second season of ITV’s series called “Red Eye“, hinting at an exciting journey ahead.
In April 2024, the premiere of the first season of a British thriller series took place, featuring Richard Armitage from “Fool Me Once” playing the role of Dr Matthew Nolan, alongside Jing Lusi, known for her work in “Holby City,” portraying DS Hana Li.
ITV verified that Lusi’s character would come back during season two upon the show’s renewal in September; however, they also disclosed that Armitage won’t feature in the upcoming season.
Initially, there were plans for Lusi to appear solo, but new information suggests he will now share screen time with Compston. As of now, details about his character are being kept secret, but it is speculated that he might portray a figure similar to Armitage’s from season one, serving as the central suspect in a fresh conspiracy plot.
The following actors are coming back to their roles: Lesley Sharp, playing Madeline Delaney, the head of MI5, and Jemma Moore as investigative journalist Jess Li.
Lesley Sharp reprises her character as MI5’s head, Madeline Delaney, while Jemma Moore will continue to portray investigative journalist Jess Li in the upcoming episodes.
Compston expressed his excitement about becoming part of the Red Eye team, stating that he’s looking forward to contributing to the continued success of the series and providing viewers with an exhilarating experience once again.
Lusi expressed: “I can hardly contain my enthusiasm about going back to the universe of ‘Red Eye’, and I’m absolutely delighted to join forces with the incredibly talented Martin Compston on this exhilarating journey.
In the second installment of “Red Eye,” we’ll have six fresh episodes penned by Peter A Dowling. Notably, Jingan Young is set to contribute one of these episodes as well.
Moving on, you’ll find Compston appearing alongside Anjli Mohindra in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming suspenseful series “Fear“. The series is scheduled to debut on their streaming platform on March 4.
In a rearrangement of events, the duo, Martyn and Rebecca, portray a tranquil household couple. However, their peaceful domestic existence gets disrupted when their neighbor, Jan (played by Solly McLeod), displays unsettling behaviors that pose a threat to their family.
