Martin Clunes is starring in a new movie currently showing in theaters. It’s called Mother’s Pride, a comedy drama, and it’s proving popular with audiences – which isn’t surprising given its funny and heartwarming story.
The story centers on a family dealing with loss who own a pub that’s facing hard times. They decide to try and revive their fortunes by crafting their own beer and competing in the Great British Beer Awards.
While the movie is meant to be uplifting, it also realistically portrays the challenges pubs are currently facing due to the economy, according to BBC News.

The film’s cast includes James Buckley from The Inbetweeners, Luke Treadaway who starred in A Street Cat Named Bob, Mark Addy known for Game of Thrones, Miles Jupp from The Thick of It, Jonno Davies of Better Man, and Gabriella Wilde who appeared in Poldark, alongside Clunes.
Nick Moorcroft, known for writing the St Trinian’s and Fisherman’s Friends film series, also directed the second Fisherman’s Friends movie, and is the director of this new film.
