As a dedicated follower of Mel Schilling, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of admiration and inspiration from her latest update. Her resilience and determination are truly remarkable, especially after battling colon cancer and now returning to Australia to film the 2025 series of Married at First Sight.

Marriage at First Sight consultant Mel Schilling recently shared some positive news about her health with fans, as she prepares to head back to Sydney for filming of the 2025 season.

On Instagram, Mel expressed her thrill about returning to Australia, more precisely, to the iconic Bondi Beach, where she plans to reside for a while over the next few months.

The television host, having returned from the U.K., shared insights into her current focus on regaining health and overcoming a recent struggle with colon cancer.

Mel started off by sharing that she’s currently residing in Sydney, more precisely at Bondi. Her new temporary abode overlooks the stunning Bondi Beach, where she’ll be staying for a while.

I’ve spent an amazing month bonding with my family right here in Australia. For the initial phase of my filming adventure, my husband and little girl joined me, but now they’re back in the UK, making this departure a mix of joy and sadness for me.

On MAFS, Mel, known for her caring and straightforward demeanor, openly discussed the difficulties of being away from her family during this period. However, she pointed out optimistically that this separation wouldn’t last as long as it has in the past.

She clarified, “This stretch will be about six to seven weeks, but I’ve endured longer periods in the past. Previously, we’ve spent three months apart, but this time it will be significantly less.”

The forthcoming series, famously known as the most turbulent in the show’s chronicles, delivers an extent of disorder that even the producers find challenging to manage.

Viewers are going to see things very early on that have never happened before.

“John Aiken hinted at the upcoming season by saying it’s astonishing that each year, even after doing this for a while, we come across completely fresh storylines.”

‘In the upcoming year, there will be many instances of that. Having been involved in this for 12 seasons, I’ve seen quite a bit, but there were a few situations this time that I’ve never encountered before.’
