Married At First Sight’s Jacqui Burfoot Opens Up About Her Heartbreaking Mental Health Struggles

In simpler terms, the reality TV star from “Married At First Sight,” Jacqui Burfoot, disclosed that she considered leaving the show as her mental health wasn’t in the best state while they were shooting.

During a recent conversation, the 29-year-old individual who had been paired with Ryan Donnelly shared that she reached a point where she felt utterly unable to take charge of personal decisions due to the challenging circumstances she faced.

She also admitted to feeling ‘unstable’ and resorting to locking herself in a private room.

On Thursday, Jacqui shared a deeply emotional account of her difficult experience in a private conversation with Yahoo Lifestyle.

In a somewhat awkward admission, she shared that her mental state was not at its best during filming. This isn’t meant to be amusing or a jest, quite the contrary – it’s a difficult confession because it carries such a strong stigma and makes me feel as though I’m the subject of mockery.

It’s quite demanding for me as I find it tough, not straightforward. It’s also humiliating, and I imagine many might consider staying in bed rather than facing the day.

During the filming process, Jacqui found herself tearing up so frequently that she needed a private space, and for a while, she hesitated to continue participating due to her overwhelming emotions.

In other parts of our conversation, she mentioned feeling like this: “I feel shattered and immobile. All I desire is rest. Please, give me some space.

Things seem unclear to me right now, I’m feeling puzzled. I need some time to understand the situation better and figure out my next steps.

Jacqui admitted that close to the end of filming she had ‘packed her bags’ to leave.

After weeping for hours straight, she asserts that the producer persuaded her to remain, suggesting they should “end with a bang.” This was her statement.

She found it extremely challenging… Leaving wasn’t something that seemed feasible or attractive under those circumstances, she remembers.

She mentioned during her candid interview that it’s been incredibly challenging for her to see the explosive season being aired.

Jacqui called the edit “an unfunny prank” because it portrayed her tears as insincere, making her appear foolish in front of others.

After the news that Jacqui had rented an expensive Airbnb for Homestays Week became public, she decided to speak up about it then.

On Tuesday, the bride chose to express on Instagram her reasoning behind not revealing her real home during the show. She emphasized the significance of both security and privacy, especially as an individual who lives independently.

Jacqui shared a video where she modeled a stunning green Rat & Boa gown, priced at $495, from a picturesque balcony boasting views of swaying palm trees.

As for those who may be wondering, this photo was captured right here at my genuine abode in Manly, I’m happy to share!

‘As a single lady, security and privacy is important to me and my friends,’ she wrote.

‘I didn’t [sic] feel comfortable opening my home up to all of Australia.

She added: ‘I should mention, the ‘apartments’ where those couples reside are, in fact, beautifully designed hotel rooms.’

The bride emphasized to her followers that HomeStays Week is not just about showing your partner around your house, but instead, it’s about sharing activities you both enjoy outside the experiment together.

‘Homestays is about getting to know someone in their usual neighborhood doing usual activities.

If you truly value real homes, you might find ‘The Block’ more appealing than MAFS, she concluded humorously.

The television personality posted several mirror selfies showing her bedroom and also shared an image from the balcony at her home in Sydney.

It turned out that Jacqui had lied during Homestays Week, as Daily Mail Australia exposed the truth: The lavish house in Manly where she hosted Ryan Donnelly on Monday night was not owned by her but rented through Airbnb.
