Married At First Sight’s Eliot Reveals Love Life With Jamie: Is This the Real Deal?

Rumors about a romantic connection between Eliot Donovan from Married At First Sight and Jamie Marinos have been stirring ever since they attended the Daily Mail Australia’s reunion party together last month.

On Tuesday, the 35-year-old groom opened up about his surprising bond, which had been kept under wraps until then.

He shared with 9Entertainment that Jamie is truly charming, and it’d be quite fortunate for anyone to be in a romantic connection with her. However, presently, they are merely good friends. In fact, he considers them as extremely close friends.

‘At the moment, I can’t engage in a romantic relationship, but who knows what the future holds? And let me tell you, it’s wonderful having Jamie along for the ride as we both navigate through life together.’

Eliot expressed great admiration for his friendship with Jamie, sharing that their bond has deepened significantly since they met on set last year.

‘We were sort of friends during the show but we were never really close,’ he said.

Eliot mentioned that it was when the Married at First Sight show first aired, they both gradually began to comprehend one another better as they observed their respective marriages unfold on the screen.

Eliot expressed, “The show moved me to empathize with Jamie. Interestingly enough, we hadn’t exchanged numbers yet. One of the other cast members gave Jamie my contact information instead.

In a manner of speaking, she expressed a similar idea to me. Not only did she deeply understand my predicament during the experiment, but our connection seemed genuinely organic, leading us to forge a friendship that felt completely natural.

Their announcement of an impending engagement occurred merely a few days following their subtle hints during Australian Fashion Week.

Last week, during their visit to Sydney’s Carriageworks for an annual fashion event, the couple chose to share details about their relationship only with Daily Mail Australia.

28-year-old Jamie admitted that she got married for real at the spot during the start of the season, tying the knot with her on-screen spouse Dave Hand.

Upon revisiting the show’s venue with Eliot, who had previously been paired with both Lauren Hall and Veronica Cloherty, I found myself reminiscing about my own wedding, stirring up a particular thought in my mind.

‘I was hoping Eliot might propose,’ she joked, which prompted fits of giggles from the pair. 

But the TV groom was more than happy to play along with the jest. 

He playfully commented, “This might attract some attention,” as he pretended to propose on the train tracks of the Carriageways, mimicking an engagement scene.

Eliot joked that he was mimicking the unexpected engagement of Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice, which occurred during a reunion viewing party just last month.

Initially, the couple spread whispers that they had started cohabiting, explaining they were “moving cautiously” amidst the intense media speculation about their romantic bond.

It’s been said that Eliot and Jamie are staying at the same Airbnb during their trip to Sydney for Australian Fashion Week.

In his creation, Queensland native Eliot showcased the opulent living quarters, only to later find himself taken aback as he unexpectedly encountered Jamie making use of the bathroom mirror inside the apartment.

In addition, Jamie uploaded a video to her personal highlights reel depicting Eliot acting as if he had stumbled upon her in the kitchen.

Previously, the charming bombshell mentioned that there was an immediate connection between her and Eliot following their stint on the Channel Nine show.

She said Eliot had provided support in the weeks following her split with Dave.

She mentioned that we’ve been spending time together only recently, as we both parted ways with our respective marriages about a month back.

‘He’s always been a very good friend to me, but he’s been a really amazing support system.’

Jamie didn’t fully dive into a romantic relationship with Eliot, despite their growing closeness.

She noted that while everyone is seeking a response, we’re dealing with reality here, which means we won’t have any formal announcement ready for you tomorrow.

Last month, it was clear that Jamie and Eliot were a deeply affectionate pair, openly displaying their love as they engaged in public displays of affection (PDA) at Warner Bros. Movie World.

Eliot kept Jamie close for much of the day, either wrapping his arm around her shoulders, holding her hand, or softly caressing her back.

At Daily Mail Australia’s recent gathering, it appeared that Jamie and Eliot couldn’t resist touching each other frequently.
