Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli revealed the gender of their baby on social media, but their playful son, Lucius, almost spoiled the surprise!

The couple from Married At First Sight, who first met on the show in 2019, revealed the gender of their baby on Instagram Wednesday with a pair of videos showing the exciting moment.

The special moment almost went wrong when their two-year-old son, Lucius, was asked to announce the baby’s gender, and he accidentally said the incorrect one.

‘We gave my uncle the sealed envelope, he told Looch… thoughts?’ they captioned the post.

The video showed Martha’s uncle, Enzo, returning young Lucius to his parents after receiving important news in an envelope. He was there to share the information with them.

Clearly excited, Martha, 37, and Michael, 33, went about urging their son to spill the beans.

“What did Enzo say?” the parents asked their son. Martha chimed in, “Tell us what Enzo told you!”

The couple even offered Lucius chocolates and lollies, but he wouldn’t budge.

Lucius remained tight-lipped, giggling while Martha and Michael tried to coax him.

Finally, when asked again, Lucius opened his mouth, blurting out that it was a boy.

‘Is it a boy?’ Michael asked the family, while Martha pressed, ‘What is it?’ 

‘It’s a girl!’ Martha’s Uncle Enzo replied, prompting the family to jump up and celebrate.

As the overjoyed parents hugged, a family member quietly mentioned, ‘Michael was hoping for a daughter.’

The MAFS golden couple took to Instagram last month to reveal they were expecting baby number two.

Martha posted a short video of her toddler son planting a kiss on her growing bump.

The former reality star, who experienced extreme morning sickness during her first pregnancy, suggested in a recent post that she’s feeling unwell again.

She shared a video and wrote that she’s currently resting after getting pregnant and plans to return with new projects soon, hoping everything goes well.

Martha and Michael initially connected on the reality show Married at First Sight in 2019. They became engaged two years after that, but haven’t tied the knot yet.
