The news about Kerry and Johnny Balbuziente putting their beautiful Brisbane cottage up for auction is no exception. Having watched their love story unfold on Married At First Sight, it’s heartwarming to see them embarking on new adventures – this time as parents!
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m excited to share that Kerry and Johnny Balbuziente, former participants of Married At First Sight, are preparing to auction off their enchanting Brisbane cottage towards the end of this month.
In 2022, the pair who found each other on a dating program in 2021, purchased a traditional Queensland residence for approximately $1.3 million.
In 2023, they officially got married and had their first baby in June. Now, having given their three-bedroom, two-bathroom home a significant renovation, the couple are ready to sell it at auction.
No price guide has been listed for the property which is located in Wavell Heights, 9kms from the CBD.
On Tuesday, according to Domain’s report, enhancements have been made to the expansive house, particularly the modernized kitchen that features stylish gold fixtures and a breakfast bar.
Johnny and Kerry were careful to maintain the original character of the home.
For more than three decades, the man from MAFS mentioned to a news outlet that no renovation or maintenance has been carried out on the charming vintage house.
Key features encompass the use of wooden accents across the entire space, and an inviting porch ideal for social gatherings.
The house preserves its vintage charm, showcased by an antique clawfoot tub with visible plumbing in one of the restrooms.
Additional amenities encompass a secluded dining room for intimate gatherings, a distinct sitting area to unwind, and an expansive master suite complete with a walk-in closet.
The residence had stayed within the same family for 30 years before Kerry and Johnny snapped it up.
Johnny and Kerry also used a memento from their time on MAFS to add to their interior styling.
The pair affixed the gold hotel suite identifier, from where they stayed during the study, above the kitchen entrance instead.
It comes after the fan favourites welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl in June.

The couple announced the exciting news that they were expecting a baby back in January.
Johnny and Kerry got engaged in July 2022, and they were married in January 2023.
The couple starred on season eight of Married At First Sight.
