Former Married At First Sight groom Nicolas Jovanovic is going to be a dad.
Married at First Sight’s 34-year-old star announced he and his wife, Alex Caldwell, are expecting their first child. He shared the happy news with a cute photo on Instagram.
In the romantic image, the couple sat together on golden sand dunes at the beach during sunset.
Alex looked radiant as she showed off her baby bump, wearing a fitted white top and relaxed beige pants. She posed barefoot on the beach, her toes sinking into the sand.
Nic sat behind his wife, wearing a light linen shirt and pale pants. He wrapped his arms around her, softly resting a hand on her stomach and gently moved her hair away from her face.
He announced they’re expecting a baby, Jovanovic, in May 2026, sharing the news with a post that included a yellow heart and a credit to the photographer.
The reality star came back to the comments to express gratitude to fans and friends, saying she and her partner, Alex, were incredibly touched by all the supportive messages.
Just months after their beautiful wedding in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley, Nicolas and Alex have shared some exciting news.
The reality TV star, who used to be an electrician, announced in June that he’d married his partner of many years. The wedding took place on May 31st at Redleaf in Wollombi, and he shared photos from the event.
Nic looked handsome in a traditional black tuxedo with a bow tie and a small flower on his lapel. Alex was stunning in a flowing gown by WONÁ Concept, featuring a sweetheart neckline and a full, cinched waist.
She wore a shimmering dress decorated with rhinestones and layers of soft tulle, completing the look with a flowing veil and a bouquet of white peonies.
‘Mr and Mrs Jovanovic ~ 31.05.25,’ he captioned the wedding post at the time.
A sweet photo showed Nic helping with his wife’s dress as they shared a loving look. Another captured Alex and her husband close together, enjoying the warm sunlight filtering through tall trees.
They got married less than a year after Nic proposed to them during a romantic trip to Lake Como in Italy.
He shared the news of their engagement with pictures of them enjoying champagne on a speedboat. Alex happily displayed her large diamond ring while Nic smiled beside her.
In a video taken shortly after he popped the question, Nic told fans: ‘She said “yes”.’
Nicolas became well-known in 2019 when he appeared on the reality show Married At First Sight. He was matched with Cyrell Paule, who quickly earned the nickname ‘Cyclone Cyrell’ because of her strong personality and direct way of speaking.
Although they didn’t get married, Cyrell and her partner ended their relationship amicably. She later began a relationship with Eden Dally from Love Island Australia, and they now have a son named Boston.
Nic generally kept his new relationship private, but he first shared a picture of his partner, Alex, on Instagram in July 2023—it was a warm and intimate photo of the two of them together.
