Married At First Sight star Cyrell Paule reveals shock reason why she was cruelly ‘mummy shamed’ at son’s sports day

A star from the show “Married At First Sight” shared an incident where she experienced harsh criticism as a mother during her child’s sports event.

36-year-old Cyrell Paule, who featured in season six of the Australian dating show back in 2019, expressed her feelings on Instagram last Thursday regarding a recent event where she was criticized by another mother for providing an unhealthy lunch to her five-year-old son Boston.

‘Today I was mummy shamed… at least that’s how it felt,’ she captioned the Instagram story.

The television personality disclosed that for a whole week leading up to her son’s sports event, she had been fighting an illness.

Instead of preparing a homemade, healthy lunch for her son on the special day, the mom chose to pick up lunch from McDonald’s instead.

‘By the time it was lunch time, I thought, do you know what, there is a Maccas down the road.’

Despite not being an ideal meal for a sports day, her illness left her feeling as if there were no better choice than this one.

Although Boston, who is shared by her partner Eden Dally, lacked typical vegetables like carrots or sliced cucumbers, he did enjoy a hearty meal instead.

As an enthusiastic admirer, I chanced upon a discussion between another youngster and his mother, where they subtly criticized my takeout meal.

A nearby child was expressing, ‘Mmm, I really enjoy nuggets, I had them at McDonald’s the other day,’ but his mother responded, “I’m sorry, but you aren’t getting McDonald’s today. You are at a sports event instead, and you should not be eating that here.

In the video, she acknowledged that her lunch wasn’t particularly well-prepared and admitted it could have been better. However, she didn’t require anyone to point out that she was underperforming.

The mother of one subsequently shared a photo of her child, accompanied by this caption: ‘To all the moms out there who sometimes question their efforts, keep doing what you’re doing.’

‘Stop judging each others parenting, no one knows your child or your situation.

‘Do what makes your family happy,’ she added.

Cyrell and her partner Eden welcomed Boston, their first child together, in February 2020.

In March 2019, the couple crossed paths following the termination of Cyrell’s relationship with Nic Jovanovic on “Married At First Sight.” They mutually agreed that it was best for them to maintain a friendship rather than continue their marriage.

Eden rose to fame on the first season of Love Island Australia in 2018
