Married At First Sight viewers will see another marriage implode on Sunday night.

This time it is Rebecca Zukowski and Steve Powell who fail to survive the Commitment Ceremony.

Newly released video from August 21st shows Rebecca declaring she’s reached her limit on the show and harshly criticizing her husband, jokingly calling him a cheaper version of George Clooney, before leaving the experiment.

The 51-year-old woman seemed strong and determined, not discouraged, when discussing her unexpected departure. She emphasized that she wouldn’t accept anything less than what she felt she deserved.

Honestly, it’s just…normal for me at this point. I mean, I always end up hauling my own luggage, and I’m the one footing the bill for everything. It’s just how it is, and I was muttering it to myself as I walked through the airport, you know? It’s not a big deal, but it’s just…me, doing everything myself.

Rebecca insisted she had never needed a man to define her.

‘I don’t need a man,’ she laughed, before cheekily labelling Steve: ‘Temu George Clooney.’

She clearly aimed a jab at Steve, and then dismissed any comparison to the Hollywood star, calling him a cheap imitation.

The outspoken bride also made it clear she has no shortage of options outside the experiment.

She turned to her direct messages, saying she was open to finding love. While things didn’t work out as planned with her time on the show, she’s hopeful for what might come next.

Even though she left the show, Rebecca said she’d be happy to come back as a surprise contestant, but only if the producers could find her a more compatible partner.

‘I’d come back tomorrow. I don’t want to go. I don’t want to leave,’ she confessed.

She stopped speaking, clearly upset, but determined to stay strong. ‘I lost everything with that experiment,’ she said quietly. ‘I won’t cry. I’m still going to get on the plane…’

She left suddenly, just days after Steve abruptly ended their relationship following a difficult and escalating week.

Things got heated during Intimacy Week when the husbands talked about the daring challenges their wives had given them.

I was really surprised when Steve let slip that Rebecca hadn’t worn the lingerie she’d purchased. Apparently, she decided against it because she knew I prefer things to be a bit more modest, and she wanted to respect that. It was… unexpected, and honestly, a little touching that she considered my feelings.

‘She chose not to dress up and make me uncomfortable,’ he told the group.

‘It actually bonded us… she brought us closer by not doing that.’

However, he soon changed his story, revealing that the couple actually had a disagreement after the cameras stopped rolling, and he ended up having to sleep in a separate bed.

He also questioned Rebecca’s intentions for joining the experiment.

He explained that Rebecca had stated her sole purpose for being there was to find love, but he questioned that, suggesting she likely had other motivations as well.

Steve unexpectedly lashed out at expert Alessandra Rampolla, claiming the show’s producers were telling her what to say.

‘I don’t have an earpiece in my ear. I’m not waiting for someone to tell me what to say,’ he said.

Alessandra stated she wasn’t receiving cues, and Steve reacted with a dismissive laugh.

She was clearly upset. “I’m really disappointed by your disrespectful behavior,” she said. “Please be careful how you speak to me – I won’t tolerate it.”

Back at the hotel, tensions reached breaking point.

Honestly, it was really hurtful to see how things played out with Rebecca and Steve. She felt like he wasn’t even trying and wouldn’t own up to his part in their issues. And his reaction to the intimacy exercises? He just brushed them off with this dismissive, frankly disrespectful, comment about them being ‘soft porn.’ It felt like he wasn’t taking their relationship – or her feelings – seriously at all.

The comment left Rebecca stunned.

A few minutes later, Steve quickly packed a bag and angrily left, but not without saying one last thing.

He told me, “Now you can finally be yourself and show everyone what you’re really capable of.” He encouraged me to go all out.

Rebecca was equally cutting in her assessment.

‘He would have to be the weakest man I’ve ever met in my entire life,’ she told producers.

On Sunday’s Commitment Ceremony, Rebecca will officially end things with her partner, marking the end of what has been a very dramatic relationship this season.
