Married At First Sight groom Mikey Pembroke provides harrowing update as he narrowly escapes suicide drone attacks in Dubai

Mikey Pembroke, known from the reality show Married At First Sight, has surprised his followers with news that his apartment in Dubai was nearly hit during recent attacks by Iran, which were in response to US air strikes.

The 33-year-old former reality TV star, who moved to Dubai last year, posted a video on social media Sunday to let fans know he was okay during a challenging situation.

Mikey reported to his followers that Dubai was experiencing explosions, saying he heard around twenty blasts near his apartment building and was understandably shocked.

It sounds like something was shot down nearby – maybe a missile – and I’m really not sure what’s happening.

Mikey showed a disturbing video of missiles hitting close to his building, and the fires that followed, while he remained safely hidden.

‘Literally next to me,’ he added.

After facing some tough times and working hard to get back on his feet, Mikey made a big move last year, leaving Australia to start a new life in Dubai.

I was so excited to see that my favorite former reality star is getting back into real estate! He announced it on Instagram with a great photo of himself looking really sharp in a navy suit – it was a total surprise, but a welcome one!

You know, I’ve been through periods where things felt completely off-track, and it’s amazing how stepping away from the public eye can help. I took some time to work within the family business after being in the spotlight for so long, and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. It allowed me to rebuild and rediscover my direction after hitting a really tough patch. I feel much more grounded and confident now, like I’ve finally found my footing again.

After appearing on a reality dating show with Natasha Spencer in 2020, the groom has been focusing on improving his well-being, both mentally and physically, and preparing to move abroad for a new beginning.

Mikey recently announced his return to real estate after taking a few years off to help with his family’s business. He’s now starting this new chapter in Dubai, one of the world’s fastest-growing cities.

This city is truly remarkable, offering both excellent investment opportunities and an exceptional lifestyle. It’s a hub of innovation with exciting developments happening constantly.
