Despite a dramatic dinner party with the rest of the cast, Married At First Sight’s Brook Crompton and Chris Nield seemed to be getting along well when they were recently seen together at Sydney Airport.

Even with some private difficulties happening, the two seemed comfortable and loving with each other while getting ready for their trip.

Just days after filming a dramatic dinner party, Brook, 27, found herself trying to manage the fallout. She had recently announced both her pregnancy and engagement to a boyfriend she was with before appearing on the show.

Brook looked relaxed in a leather jacket and jeans, accessorized with a stylish handbag. Chris went with a simple and comfortable look, wearing a black T-shirt and grey sweatpants.

In one photo, the two were close and hugged affectionately, appearing to ignore the commotion happening on the screen.

Another showed the pair happily chatting, before heading off with their luggage.

Even though their characters were going through a difficult time on TV, they seemed relaxed and at ease with each other while pulling luggage through the airport.

This sighting happened shortly after things fell apart for the couple at a party with the show’s cast, where a fight broke out between the two brides.

The surprising moment happened while Brook was sharing with her female colleagues how upset she was by an audition video of her husband, Chris Nield.

Brook shared that the final straw for her came when she saw a video of him saying, “I hate fat people.” She told a group of shocked women about it.

‘He said, “Give me a brunette skinny girl on a silver platter, and I will be there for her”.’

All of the women involved were upset by Chris’s comments, and Brook shared that she immediately and directly responded to him.

I told him, “It feels like we’re making no progress—one step forward, then two steps back.” I wasn’t interested in developing with him; I wanted to see him mature. I didn’t come here to nurture someone; if I were in his position, I’d give up. Go tell your mother what you’ve said—you’re acting terribly,” she said angrily.

It follows reports that MAFS 2026’s most explosive rumour about Brook was finally revealed.

Following weeks of rumors and denials, the Daily Mail has learned that Brook is the contestant on the reality show who secretly got back in touch with her former partner and is now expecting a baby.

Video obtained by Daily Mail shows Brook kissing her former boyfriend, Harry, while decorating a Christmas tree in October. This happened just weeks after her recent on-screen marriage to Chris Nield ended in real life.

The private video captures the couple being very affectionate, with lots of kissing and cuddling while decorating for Christmas inside their apartment – and they were doing it weeks before December even started!

Those involved with the production weren’t surprised by the announcement; it largely confirmed what they’d been expecting.

Multiple cast members told Daily Mail that Brook and Chris never stood a chance.
