Things came to a head this week for Married At First Sight’s Alissa Fay and David Momoh, with their relationship seemingly reaching a breaking point.
The Daily Mail has an exclusive look at the last date a couple went on before making their final decisions, and it was clear things weren’t going well.
Following the release of video showing the 33-year-old bride arguing with her 31-year-old husband during their getaway, the couple appeared visibly unhappy while filming a seemingly cheerful picnic scene.
The nurse looked as stylish as ever, wearing a cropped white top that showed off her midriff and a sleek, beige maxi skirt.
Oh my gosh, she just let her hair down – her blonde hair! – and it was everything. I was watching the cameras, and between takes, she was reapplying lip gloss, like, perfecting her already perfect look. She kept checking her makeup in that tiny little compact mirror, and honestly, it was mesmerizing. Every little detail is just… chef’s kiss.
David, the groom, coordinated with his partner by wearing a beige polo shirt and shorts. He shielded his eyes with sunglasses.
The couple didn’t seem to connect during their picnic. They had a blanket and a small table with a few bottles of wine, but there was a noticeable lack of spark.
Producers spoke to each contestant individually for quick interviews, and then the contestants relaxed on a park bench.
David and Alissa quickly emerged as one of the most solid couples on this season of Married At First Sight.
New footage recently surfaced showing that problems started for the couple during their retreat, with significant cracks appearing in their relationship.
In the explosive clip, Alissa could be seen having a massive meltdown over their accommodation.
Alissa was angry that their bedroom didn’t have blinds and she angrily blamed her husband for not taking care of it.
She explodes at a stunned David, unleashing a string of expletives: “I handle everything around here, and you really irritate me!” He simply watches her, remaining calm.
Still, David stood his ground and told her not to ‘cancel’ him.
What do you think drives couples to such explosive breakdowns on reality TV shows like MAFS?

‘Don’t talk to me like that, please. Have some respect,’ he added.
The drama ended with Alissa storming out of the room and demanding to ‘sleep outside’.
David discussed the dramatic events from the newest episode of Stan’s Married At First Sight: After The Dinner Party, sharing what happened behind the scenes.
‘I have this thing where I have to be extra caring,’ he said, reflecting on the moment.
I tried to be respectful in the relationship because I’ve learned from past experiences that negativity, arguing, and using harsh language can really damage things. I wanted to avoid repeating those unhealthy patterns.
I try to stay calm and logical. I think Alissa thrived on having a relationship with its share of highs and lows.
