A friend told Daily Mail Australia that Mel is back on set of season 12, feeling fit and strong.’ 

Mel revealed her diagnosis in December and subsequently went through surgery and chemotherapy following the onset of symptoms.

She revealed the cancer had left her feeling worn out.

In an emotional Instagram update, she posted a picture where she appeared tired and frowned at the camera following a lengthy day on set.

She posted, “Here I am, completely drained following an intense day at work. Despite being utterly tired, I feel content and am eagerly looking forward to a well-deserved rest.”

Afterwards, she concluded her contemplative message with some additional encouraging sentiments: “Cancer may be hard, yet I am stronger.”
