Mark Wright’s furious father, 68, calls star a ‘f**king idiot’ for pushing him in pool and risking ‘squashing’ nephew, 3 – as fans blast ‘unfunny, uncomfortable and dangerous’ prank

On a heated Saturday, I, an over-the-moon fan, found myself becoming the center of attention (or perhaps controversy) when my enthusiastic actions led to my esteemed relative, Mark Wright senior, taking an unexpected dive – right into his lavish pool!

On Instagram, the original cast member from TOWIE (aged 38) posted a video where he could be seen bursting with laughter as he ran towards “Big Mark” and playfully pushed him into his swimming pool.

On a sunny day, the well-known close-knit Wright family gathered for a fun-filled pool party at the home jointly owned by Mark and his wife, Michelle Keegan. During this get-together, Mark played a prank that resulted in Big Mark falling into the pool with his phone tucked in his pocket.

In the swimming pool were Mark’s younger brother Josh and his nephew Presley, who was three years old. Presley happened to be in Mark’s path when he fell. Before letting out a string of vulgar insults, he angrily labeled Mark as a ‘stupid fool’.

Fans didn’t find the joke amusing, instead they quickly filled Mark’s post comments with warnings about the potential risks of the prank, given Presley’s status and Big Mark’s advanced age. They labeled the incident as ‘not funny or comfortable’.

As Mark drew near his father, who was emerging from the water to grab his phone and persistently label him foolish, Mark found himself unable to suppress his laughter.

In response to the situation, the reality TV personality swiftly declared that his phone was water-resistant, as the rest of the Wright family, which included mom Carol, burst into laughter.

Spectators filled up the comment area, expressing concerns like this: “Weren’t you worried about the little boy being crushed by the water?… It wasn’t humorous considering the steps and the child involved; things could have turned sour… Absolutely not amusing at all! Didn’t you notice the child nearby?

It’s extremely distressing and discomforting to witness!!!… The behavior displayed was utterly appalling, a child could have been hurt, an elderly person might have taken a fall on the stairs or slipped in the shallow end…

Later, they seemed overly proud and oblivious, choosing to share a photo of their swimming pool on Instagram as a subtle boast, ‘check out our pool’. However, the carelessness in such a setting was alarming, as it could have easily endangered a small child, showing a lack of respect towards your father.

The elder Wright child, Jess, swiftly responded to the post, labeling her father’s speech as alarming and emphasizing that she promptly assisted him in drying his wet phone.

In response to her comment, a critic expressed worries that Mark might be prompted by his team to take down the video from his account due to its unsettling language. However, daughter Jess quickly intervened and helped out.

Natalya Wright, who is the youngest, expressed with her words, “Oh, poor dad.” Meanwhile, Elliott Wright, Mark’s cousin, and his spouse Sadie Stuart, responded with laughter emojis and labeled the trick they played as a “freedom” or “liberty.

On a previous occasion, Big Mark experienced embarrassment, similar to this one, when he fainted while attempting a 130ft bungee jump during the television show “A Wright Family Holiday” in the year 2023.

Mark stood stunned, repeatedly asking, “How are you feeling?” as his father hung motionless, suspended upside-down in the air.

Eager to share some memorable moments, I embarked on a road trip with my dear brother, Josh, and our father, Mark Sr., traversing the beautiful landscapes of Great Britain.

When Mark Sr learned they were going to jump off a bridge, he expressed his feelings by saying: “Josh picked this stunt to outsmart me, but he doesn’t seem to grasp that I’m right in the thick of it. At this moment, I feel like I could strangle him!

Mark, Senior queried, “Is this safe, isn’t it?” as his son watched with astonishment. “Mark seems quite anxious, I wouldn’t be surprised if he decides not to participate… or if I decide not to either,” said the businessman. “But if I get up there and don’t feel comfortable, I won’t proceed.

Initially, it’s Mark, Sr who positions himself at the platform’s edge, as his brothers lend him their supportive voices.

Yet, as he sped toward the river, events began to deteriorate rapidly once he fell silent.

Mark asked, “Dad, how are you feeling?” But his father remained silent.

‘Dad, how do ya feel?’ Josh mirrored.

Over the radio, an instructor is heard asking: ‘Is Mark okay? He’s stopped moving.’
