Mark Hamill joins the cast of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy in full trailer
As a seasoned gamer and Star Wars enthusiast with over three decades of immersion in this iconic universe, I can confidently say that my anticipation for D23 Expo 2024 reached new heights upon hearing about LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. The blend of humor, nostalgia, and innovation in this four-piece special event is nothing short of exhilarating!
2024’s D23 Expo is happening now, and Lucasfilm presented a panel centered around the upcoming miniseries “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy”. Alongside a fresh trailer, we were treated to new posters and a glimpse of additional cast members, including Mark Hamill stepping back into his role as Luke Skywalker.
Only this might not be the Luke Skywalker we all remember.
The tale of “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” revolves around an individual named Sig Greebling, played by Gaten Matarazzo. Inadvertently, he stumbles upon the Cornerstone LEGO brick, a crucial artifact that binds together all dimensions of time and space. This unintended author of events reshapes the galaxy in an unexpected manner, transforming heroes into villains, bad guys into saviors, and even characters like Luke Skywalker become laid-back surfers. With the assistance of Jedi Bob (portrayed by Bobby Moynihan), they embark on a mission to rectify the galaxy before it’s irreversibly altered.
Audience members were treated to various fresh posters, one of which depicted Jar Jar Binks in a style reminiscent of “Episode I – The Phantom Menace.” In the sneak peek trailer, it was disclosed that Darth Jar Jar would make an appearance, with Ahmed Best reprising his original role. It seems that Jar Jar isn’t the only Sith character in circulation. Darth Rose Tico, portrayed by Kelly Marie Tran in her return, and Darth Nubs from the children’s show “Young Jedi Adventures” are also present in the latest trailer.

Joining this cast, as revealed by StarWars.com, are Tony Revolori, Marsai Martin, Michael Cusack, Naomi Ackie, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Dee Bradley Baker, TC Carson, Trevor Devall, Jake Green, Jennifer Hale, Phil Lamarr, Ross Marquand, Piotr Michael, Kevin Michael Richardson, Helen Sadler, Matt Sloan, Matthew Wood, Sam Witwer, and Shelby Young. Mark Hamill is also serving as a consulting producer for the miniseries.
