Mark Geyer’s Next Big Move After Shocking Triple M Axing Will Leave You Speechless!
It’s been disclosed that Mark ‘MG’ Geyer is planning his significant future professional step following his unexpected dismissal from Triple M.
The radio personality, aged 57, has secured a new profitable radio job barely two months following his termination from the network after serving for 17 years.
He’s agreed to a three-year contract with rival Sydney radio station 2GB and is set to team up with incoming co-host Clinton Maynard on their freshly launched evening show, titled “Sydney Now.

In his new position, the distinguished NRL player will regularly appear on The Continuous Call Team and Wide World of Sports broadcasts as well.
He is set to team up with Paul Gallen, Darryl Brohman (also known as ‘The Big Marn’), Mark Riddell (nicknamed ‘Piggy’), Josh Morris, and Mark Levy when he returns for duty on The Continuous Call Team.
2GB’s Content Manager, Luke Davis, expressed enthusiasm about the new addition to their team: “It’s a joy to have Mark Geyer join the 2GB and Nine Radio family!
MG stands out as a legendary figure in the league, a seasoned media figure, a successful entrepreneur, and a vocal representative of Western Sydney – always ready to share his thoughts.
“We eagerly anticipate his distinctive perspectives throughout the NRL season, enhancing the already stellar roster of our Continuous Call Team for our 39th year on the air.
In a surprising turn of events, Triple M dismissed Geyer in November. Later on, Daily Mail Australia broke the news that TV personality Beau Ryan would be taking over his role instead.
A large number of people were taken aback when Triple M chose to end their association with Geyer, who has been adored by listeners as a popular figure on Mick & MG in the Morning for the past two years.
2025 will see Mick Molloy, previously a radio colleague of Geyer, transitioning onto the Melbourne airwaves as well.
The breakfast program is getting a new name, “Beau, Tarsh & Woodsy,” and will now be led by the hosts Beau, Natarsha Belling, and ex-captain of the West Tigers, Aaron Woods.
Their first episode will air on January 20, 2025, and continue to run from 6am to 9am on weekdays.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but wonder what led to Geyer’s unexpected departure from the station. It’s puzzling, and I eagerly await any insights he might share about this situation.
Nonetheless, Lou Zivanovic, a former player of Penrith, stated that Geyer was deeply affected, feeling both devastated and taken aback by his unexpected dismissal.
More recently, Geyer’s fellow host, Molloy, publicly shared his thoughts about the situation for the first time, expressing that working without the athlete has proven quite challenging.
He informed Triple M listeners that they should know MG won’t return next year, which makes him quite sad. Over the past week and a half, performing the show without him has been difficult.
I’ve been inclined to discuss his predicament, yet I find it inappropriate since he hasn’t brought it up himself. In light of MG’s dignity, I believe it’s his narrative to share, and it’s crucial that he voices it so others can listen as well.
In simple terms, let me put it this way – I really like the guy. Working on the show alongside him for the past two years has been an absolute joy, and I look forward to continuing that collaboration for another two years.

In 2000, Geyer, who had represented Australia three times and contributed to Penrith’s inaugural premiership victory in 1991, decided to hang up his football boots professionally.
