Marilyn Manson appeared at Paris Fashion Week on Sunday, just weeks after a judge in Los Angeles decided to revisit a sexual assault case involving him.
The 57-year-old musician, known for his signature pale makeup, modeled during the Enfants Riches Déprimés Fall/Winter 2026 fashion show on a snow-covered runway.
He wore long, black robes fastened with gold brooches, and a medal hung around his neck as artificial snow dramatically fell from above the stage.
Brian Hugh Warner, known as Manson, walked onto the stage at Maison de la Chimie carrying a microphone, ready to perform for the crowd.
The judge allowed a lawsuit against the musician to move forward, thanks to a new law that lets courts consider older sexual assault cases.
A former assistant sued the musician in May 2021, but the case was dismissed in December. The court determined the lawsuit was filed too late, exceeding the legal deadline for filing claims after the events occurred.
The case, which had been dismissed last month, was recently back before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran, who agreed to reconsider it. According to reports from Monday’s hearing, the judge stated, ‘I’ve reviewed this carefully, and I believe the law allows the claim to be brought again.’
According to Walters, the musician sexually assaulted her while she was employed by his record label, Manson Records, from 2010 to 2011.
She alleges Manson bragged about sexually assaulting women and even showed her a video depicting him abusing a young girl.
Manson’s lawyer Howard King said the lawsuit would fail.
According to a statement by King, Ms. Walters previously made allegations of workplace harassment that are no longer relevant. She doesn’t currently have any legal claims of sexual assault as defined by law, and the recent ruling prevents her from filing any new ones.
‘The undeniable fact is that Mr. Warner never committed any sexual assault,’ he added.
Over the years, multiple women, including actresses Esme Bianco from ‘Game of Thrones’ and Evan Rachel Wood, Manson’s ex-partner, have accused him of sexual abuse and assault.
Another case, involving accusations of sexual assault and domestic violence, was dropped in January 2025 because the legal time limit for prosecution had expired.
In a lawsuit filed in May 2021, Walters alleged that Marilyn Manson used his influence and status to exploit and harm her while she worked for him between August 2010 and October 2011.
Walters first stated the abuse began in 2010, following a photoshoot arranged after she connected with him on MySpace and he complimented her work.
The singer is accused of physically and sexually assaulting the woman during a photoshoot. She claims he held her down on a bed, bit her ear, and forced her hand against his body. She left feeling confused and afraid after the incident.
She later stated that the singer sent her a lot of messages and tried to bribe her to remain with him. According to Rolling Stone, over the following year, he reportedly became violent when drunk, throwing dishes, threatening to end his own life, and even physically assaulting her by pushing her into a wall.
The lawsuit claims that in 2010, he brought Walters to an awards show and then forcibly placed her on an actor’s lap, suggesting the actor could have a romantic encounter with her.
‘The actor proceeded to kiss Walters and keep her on his lap,’ the lawsuit said.
She accused Manson of multiple abuses, including forcing her to stand for twelve hours while photographing him, and making her use cocaine to remain awake. She also alleged he whipped her and others, challenging their ability to endure the pain, and that he would throw hatchets when enraged.
I was really disturbed to hear about an incident involving Marilyn Manson and his then-fiancee, Evan Rachel Wood. Apparently, he threw a prop skull at her with such force that it actually left a visible mark. It’s deeply concerning to learn about any kind of physical aggression in a relationship, and this story is incredibly upsetting.
After starting therapy, Walters realized she had been abused. She learned that Manson’s actions had caused her to quickly block the memories from her mind.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this situation closely. Marilyn Manson has consistently refuted the claims made by his accuser, Esmé Walters. His legal team is arguing that the alleged incidents, which reportedly happened between 2010 and 2011, fall outside the legal timeframe for filing a lawsuit – specifically, the two-year statute of limitations.
Walters claims her lawsuit is still within the allowed time because of the ‘delayed discovery’ rule. This rule sometimes lets people start the clock on a legal claim only after they realize they’ve been harmed.
